“Needs a serious overhaul”

This restaurant is a relatively new addition to the offerings in Main Beach but just doesn't have the mix right.

It has possibly the nicest fit out on Tedder Avenue and has the benefit of attentive, professional wait staff.

Unfortunately, however, the menu just doesn't cut it. There is almost nothing on the entree menu to entice people into the restaurant. The main course menu isn't much better. We had the prawns, the steak and the duck which were all quite nice, hence the 4 stars. If you don't feel like prawns, there's not much else that looks nice to have as an entree.

The restaurant was almost empty when we were there. Time and time again, potential customers stopped to look at the menu, and then kept walking.

If the owner doesn't give the menu a makeover, and soon, the restaurant won't be there much longer.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

On Teddar Avenue, this small restaurant and bar served up great food. we had Char grilled Prawns as entree and rib and prawns and the lamb rack for mains. Service was great, waitress very pleasant and accommodating. thoroughly recommend to try. Not a lot of patrons, but food was certainly top class and to top off Friday nights, two for one cocktails till 6.30pm

“Nice but work to do”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

This is a new restaurant on the Tedder Avenue strip and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it will improve as they go forward. The service was very good, plenty of attention and advice. The menu is limited but that should mean that the quality is of the highest order. We ordered Pork Belly and this was delicious but the Fish was rubbery and the chips not freshly cooked. The wine list is not extensive and I feel too dear for this casual dining. There are plenty of options on Tedder so they need to make sure there is plenty of attention to detail in presentation and preparation of the meals to compete. We will go back and see.

“Ambience great feel”
Reviewed December 12, 2013 via mobile

Stumbled on this place. Great design. Cocktail menu was great. A place to go for drinks and tapas style. Didn't look at dinner menu as had other plans. Sat out the front and was quite (no disturbance from cars). I am definitely going back!

“Nice & casual”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

Had dinner (three of us) and the food was good and wholesome. Spanner Crab was great while the burger was not too exciting. Nice atmosphere and service. BYO helps keep the cost down and allows you to enjoy your own selection.

Only criticism was that the menu could have been a bit more extensive.
