“Stunning views and yummy food”

The Southport Surf Life Saving Club is a personal favourite restaurant for my partner's family. The club is located on Main Beach and is close to Seaworld, Marina Mirage and Tedder Ave (which are all places that are worth a visit if you are visiting the Gold Coast!).The restaurant is located upstairs and has a beautiful view overlooking the ocean and Gold Coast's Main Beach. The club often has entertainment of weekends and thursday nights and there is a bar with a good range of different beers, ciders and wines. There is a large range of food including traditional fish and chips, seafood baskets, burgers, pastas, salads and other dishes such as ribs, lamb shanks and chicken parmigiana. They even have a nice range of desserts. Whether you are a local looking for a nice day out with family or friends or you are a visitor to the Gold Coast looking for a meal near the beach, the SSLSC is defiantly worth a visit!

“Great Service!”
Reviewed May 22, 2014

We stayed at Xanadu just across the road so could not miss the opportunity of having a brekkie here. Great views, service and meals were well priced for quantity. Would recommend to others to try!

“Super location, great food and a good venue to bring the family”
Reviewed May 21, 2014

THE UPSIDE

We have been members of this Club since moving here almost 10 years ago. The staff are always friendly and the food is always tasty. The portion sizes are very generous and the prices do not break the bank.

The Club serves good, honest food and reasonable prices. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. The steaks are great and the are often really nice specials to choose from.

THE DOWNSIDE

It can get a little noisy - especially on Friday and Saturday Nights (just the number of people - the décor doesn't really soften the noise!) The is usually a band on a Sunday afternoon which is nice but again can be a little noisy - so choose your table carefully! Also, it is not really somewhere for a romantic dinner - more for a family with children night out : )

OVERALL

As far as surf clubs go - this is one of the best on the coast. Enjoy.

We had an evening meal and breakfast there. Evening meal was basic but nice. Breakfast was incredible. To fill my husband up they did very well. Recommend going to breakfast and the venue has a great outlook and very friendly staff.

“Great to support these clubs”

Large variety of choice to eat. We didn't have a booking and they were busy but no problem to find a table for us.

Quick and friendly service. Nice meals of a good size. Good vibe about the place. Beautiful ocean view from the deck.

Felt comfortable here with the family.
