Stayed here last week for 5 nights. Beautiful foyer, reception area but rooms not up to scratch for price paid (used to be really nice a few years ago). Just need to make sure you let reception know of any shortcomings in your room (& there were a few!) & they will fix. Nevertheless, for price you are paying this should not have been an issue (but it was). However, all staff absolutely superb, especially doorman Casey & bar manager Heather. These two staff were so friendly & accommodating, that alone made our stay a very worthwhile and pleasant experience at this hotel.

A varied selection of finger sandwiches, scones, petite pastries and cakes. All presented on a large three tier cake stand. We sat on Versace chairs and every plate, cup and saucer was branded with the Versace logo. The high tea here was very nice! However we were full and when asked whether they could box the rest of our cakes, we were told that they didn’t have any boxes. How ridiculous! Hence the four stars instead of five!

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary and had an exceptional stay. We had a beautifully appointed Lagoon View Room, that overlooked the pool and out to the Broadwater. The service was great and the lobby had such an amazing wow factor unlike any other hotel on the Gold Coast. Breakfast the next morning had a great selection and the staff were friendly. I would highly recommend for couples who are wanting to reconnect.

My mum and I stayed at the Palazzo Versace Gold Coast for 3 nights with my baby and young child. Our stay couldn’t be more pleasant. The swimming pool is marvellous and there is an adult only area. We booked through Luxury Escapes (it was the first time we used LE and totally recommend it). We experienced Le Jardin bar for drinks (we didnt have High Tea but it looked amazing), il Barocco restaurant for seafood buffet, breakfast, a la carte. The breakfast had less options than Hilton, grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt or Intercontinental in Sydney but everything was divine, except the barista coffee (for my taste).
Staff from check in, turn down service, valet and restaurants were attentive, professional and pleasant. It is wonderful to stay in a hotel where you feel the staff happy with their work and you feel a valuable guest. Special thanks to Danielle from front desk, Cindy and team from Il Barocco and all staff in the valet parking.
Kids 3 years old pay half price for breakfast and seafood buffet but if your child is like mine (she is 4 years old but just eat sultana brain or rice and tomato sauce most of the time, the hotel waived the charges).
Kids meals was $16 which is a fair price for an upmarket hotel. Again, my 4yo didn’t eat, so I ate it and can rate the burger as very good kids meal. She also ordered chicken nuggets and my mum approved it.
For people travelling with kids, there is an indoor heated pool for adults only but you can contact the spa to check if there is any time available for children use (if you child remain quiet), for us it was 5.30pm. It is very relaxing and even my hyperactive daughter behaved well because of the room fulfilled by peace and serenity.
Even the Hatted restaurant Vanitas is child friendly. With luxury escapes packages, you can upgrade your meals for $25-60 each and dine there. Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance as with 2 kids it would be too adventurous to keep the peace of the premise kkkk but I had lunch there, last year, and it was fantastic.
We booked a family suite which was spacious and luxurious. The more you look the details, the more you like the palazzo Versace.

We enjoyed our first stay at Versace as part of a Luxury Escapes deal. We chose to upgrade to a Lagoon View room and were placed on 4th floor so was nice & quiet with a lovely view of the pool and surrounds. We had no complaints about our room or the facilities. The beds were comfortable, the shower good and we loved the spa bath. The gym was really good for a hotel gym and the booking system for use of the indoor pool and sauna made sense so it was not too crowded. The breakfast buffet was as good as any I’ve been to overseas (where they are usually better than in Australia) and the restaurant staff were excellent....
We had dinner and lunch as part of our package and the waiters for both meals were excellent... only slight disappointment was I had mentioned it was my birthday when booking the seafood buffet but this had obviously not been passed onto the staff as they celebrated another table’s birthday but not mine... I mentioned it at the end of our meal to our lovely waiter and within moments he organised for all the staff to come and sing happy birthday with a lovely little birthday cake... this made my day and I thank him for his quick thinking!
Heather in the bar was great also and as others have said the pianist was top notch.
Hotel is in need of a bit of a spruce up in places (which we understand has started)... slight complaint is I wish the hotel would enforce the adults only area around the pool as we had a noisy family taking up 2 of the prime location cabanas in this area and nothing was said to them by the staff, which was a shame as it ruined our time by the pool somewhat, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
