Owner description: Discover the beauty of the Gold Coast canals aboard our 1965 timber vessel. This relaxing 2 hour cruise is the perfect way to enjoy the Gold Coast's waterways and peek into the magnificent homes and lifestyles of the rich and famous whose homes line the canals. Cruise through these man-made canals and discover what is known as the 'Venice of Australia' with a Broadwater Canal system larger than the waterways of Venice and Amsterdam combined. During this 2 hour cruise we will explore the three islands Chevron, Cronin and Macintosh. View the ever-changing Surfers Paradise skyline and travel to Marina Mirage Queensland's finest waterfront shopping and dining resort, Palazzo Versace Australia's only 6 star Hotel and the Sea World Resort and Water Park. With informative commentary the skipper will share some of the history of the Gold Coast, profile some of Australia's rich list and give an insight to some of the Gold Coast's well known identities, so sit back, relax and enjoy the extensive views of the coast skyline. The best way to discover Surfers on the water.

“Relaxing and informative.”

Myself and another staff supported 2 clients with disabilities on a holiday to the Gold Coast, and our 2 hour cruise was quite a highlight of their holiday. Steve and his wife were very friendly and helpful - especially in lifting 1 of our clients who was in a wheelchair. We had beautiful weather, and the smaller vessel was perfect as it seemed like we had a personalised tour. I would much prefer to support a smaller operator like this than give our money to big business run providers who are more interested in their profit than the consumer. Highly recommended!

“Great way to spend 2 hours”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2012

Thoroughly reccomended canal tour with Steve for only around $20 (includes tea/coffee and scone). A great way to see some lovely homes and boats. Also great for kids - plenty to see including jet boats, helicopters, jelly fish and feed the fish at the jetty. The tour departs from Cavill Ave and near the Marina Mirage. “Great value, informative and friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2012

I took this tour with my elderly mother thinking that it would be fun for her. It was great fun for both of us and all ages on board seemed to be enjoying their cruise. Steve was a very informative tour guide and gave lots of interesting information along the way about the houses their values, the people who lived there, bull sharks and the gold coast in general. His good humoured style made it an enjoyable experience.

The boat was clean, the devonshire tea was delicious and the seating was basic but adequate. There was a top deck with no roof and wooden seats with some cushions. Inside the boat there were bench seats with cushions. The windows had no covering in the sunny conditions today so that photos were easy to take. It looked like there were roll down clear plastic window covers for wet days.

The two hour cruise with devonshire tea was great value at $35.00 an adult.

“charming older boat, great cruise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2012

I chose this cruise as it was on a pretty, smaller, wooden boat as opposed to going on a newer but characterless one. The boat was lovely with excellent upstairs viewing deck. Everything was very well looked after and it was a pleasure to be on. The cruise was good, lots of local information and a bit of juicy gossip. Being a small boat passengers were able to chat with the captain, Steve, during the trip and this made it a more personal experience.
