Was very disappointing. The most expensive meal I have ever had. Show? What show? This gets great reviews but I'm not sure why. If your unlucky enough to get seated next to the stairs, your view will be blocked by the hand rail and although the service is friendly is it quite distracting while trying to watch. I took my husband who is a country man through & through and he had been looking forward to it but couldn't wait to leave...nor could I. There are so many great tourist attractions on the GC and as a travel agent this is one I wouldn't recommend.

Went with family. Well organised entry included a hat and photo. Meals were simple but nice, and the show was great. These horses and riders are very talented. A must for horse lovers.

Been 3 times and on each occasion l have had a heap of fun. It's a great place to take the family without the hassles of being around drunks all night. The food was served quickly which was good and also tasted great. The show was quite entertaining.

Great start to the evening, lots of people and plenty to do. Food service great but food was a bit 'hit & miss' (guess to be expected with the amount they put out). Show was good but felt it lack a bit of spark. If you are the driver watch what you drink as there is no shortage of booze on offer!
Overall would rate it 8/10 (and Phar Lap is NZ) (-;
Also if wet weather expected suggest you get there early for parking closer to venue
No pics allowed inside

We went to Outback Spectacular in 2007, then again in March 2013, and while the show has changed with the introduction of a tribute to Phar Lap, it was pretty much same-old, same-old.

From my memory, everything, from arriving and the pre-dinner drinks, through to the way the show is run, the competition between the two stations and the meal, etc. were pretty similar.

We did enjoy it, but six years on we were hoping for something a bit different.

The atmosphere was still good, the food was good, but we were left feeling that there was more to come.

Having said that, if it was your first time there, I'm sure you'd rave about it and I would definitely recommend it to first timers.
