“Fun for kids, extortionate food prices, tired and dated.”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

We have visited a number of times over the past 12 months and while they are obviously renewing some areas, parts of the park are very run down and shabby. The bare concrete walkways are terrible on bare feet on a really hot day. The food available on-sight is mostly unhealthy fried stuff like chips and hot dogs and is absolutely extortionate - $18 for a cheeseburger and chips! A few healthier options, if you can find the one place that sells them. Plenty of rides and pools to choose from, the kids always love it. Expect big crowds and wait times; even on slow days they open half of some rides so you STILL have to wait. Too expensive, but the kids will love you for taking them!!

“Overcrowded”
Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

Experience started with a 30 min wait to get in even though we had already booked and paid on line. The line for any of the rides were around 40 mins so needless to say we didn't get to a lot of rides and was very hard for the kids to line up for so long. As a result there were massive crowds in the wave pool and other kid areas. Food is also very expensive so highly recommend you bring your own.

“Pricey sunburn”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Look we went today, it's a great laugh for the kids. We bought the fast passes so all up it cost us $200 in admission costs. The queues are outrageous. The fast pass gave us 4 rides which we got through in 10 mins each. We were not told one of the rides our daughter would be in eligible for due to not being 45 kg , it would have been nice to have been advised this before buying the fast pass. The food is ghastly. And given the amount of large Lycra strapped individuals riding these rides it's amazing you can't get a sushi roll or another less greasy option. Shade is at a premium and we ended up sitting in a shady gutter several times just to escape the heat. Our daughter had a ball, but this place is not world class and needs a revamp and a new strategy for managing crowds. I saw many wait 2 hrs for 1 minute of fast sliding water. There has to be better value for money in this place. You haven't any choice on many ride queues to stand in the sun without a hat shoes or sunglasses due to ride requirements and least given the current campaigns shade cloth should cover the queue areas.
I would also suggest somewhere customers could refill their water bottles as opposed to parting with $4 for a bottle.
It's a day out for the kids but this park needs to work on parent pleasing.

“Great rides, long queue”

Love the rides, hated long queues. Definitely should have paid extra for the Fast Track tickets upgrade.

“Great on a hot day!”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Massive selection of rides!! I don't understand why everyone complains about queues. That is what you get at any theme or water park. Just simply prioritise which rides you want to go on the most and quit complaining. It's not the parks fault, they had loads to choose from. Aqua loop was very scary, but worth it. The lazy river was a great addition to the wave pool. Only thing I would recommend is some type of storage for thongs at the bottom of a slide, as peoples feet were getting burned on the sizzling pavement! Good food, I had a very nice grilled chicken salad, so you don't just have to have a burger or hot dog. The rollercoaster ride was interesting to see in a water park and brought something different. Favourite slide was the tornado, a great way to cool down on a hot day!
