Cannot recommend the Agrilia Hotel enough - my auntie and I stayed here for only a week and had a lovely time. Ditto to all the great things others have said in their reviews! I have been to Greece many times and found both the accomodation, pool area and the breakfast to be the best ever. My favourite part - maybe a tad sad to some but... it had a proper shower in a proper cubicle !!! If you know Greek showers you will understand my joy :)

George and Filona were very pleasant and nothing was a problem, we went to Kalamaki almost every night (too old for the strip of Laganas!) and they happily called us a taxi and took photo's while we waited. Filona also makes a gorgeous strawberry daiquiri :)

The Agrilia would be perfect if it were closer to Kalamaki... other than that, my auntie and I had a fabulous holiday - thank you George, Filona and other staff!

Room Tip: NOT 105 if you want a good night's sleep - this room was right next to the stairs, the cleaner's cupboard, is opposite laundry and well placed for the Laganas kids coming back in the early hours...

Me and a friend recently stayed at the agrilia and can't praise it enough! We were looking for a holiday where we could relax and also party when we wanted- the hotel was just the right distance from everything- closeto the strip/main resort but far enough way so that we could relax and chill out. The hotel staff were fantastic- george is a miracle man running the hotel by himself and filona behind the bar is amazing. The hotel is kept in great condition and the food available is most definately worth the money. George and filona are always willing to help and rooms are of a high standard, clean and modern. Couldnt have asked for a better hotel. Thanks george for everything!

My friend and I booked this holiday wanting somewhere we can go in to the nightlife but away from it too. This was perfect and the trip advisor reviews hugely swayed us!!
When we were dropping off other arrivals on our transfer coach we became increasingly worried after seeing some of the places people were staying at... Half finished hotels, pools out on the roadside and places falling apart. We were last to be dropped off, which was ashame as I wish the other holiday goers could've seen the luxury we were staying in!!
The hotel was fantastic!! It was clean, relaxed, friendly and only a 10/15 minute walk away or 6 euros in a taxi to the busy night life of Laganas. We were greeted by George who helped us with our cases to our rooms and left us to it. A few hours later we went to the pool to start on our tans!! It was lovely... chilled, relaxing and the weather was fantastic. With this hotel not being a huge complex we made friends with everyone staying there which was great and we met some fantastic people.
George the owner and Felisna the bargirl/waitress were great! Always happy, friendly and couldn't do more to help! They definately helped make our holiday!
We booked our holiday through Thomas Cook and our rep never turned up once throughout the week to meet us, but thanks to George he helped with anything we needed to know.
If you are looking for a nice hotel, great food and the opportunity to meet some fantastic people this is the place to go!! My friend and I are early twenties and loved being able to relax in the day but go out of an evening to the strip. This hotel is perfect for people of all ages looking for a nice place to stay in Zante.

We are just back from a weeks holiday at Hotel Agrilia. We seen photos before we went and thought that the hotel would never match the photos but it was better. The hotel was amazing and totall luxury. The hotel is owned by George and you cannot ask for a better host. He is very freindly and always around if you need him. Filona the barmaid is great at her job too and is also very friendly too. The food that at Agrilia was also of a high standard and the portions are huge and very good for money. A highlight to the holiday was there was a couple of british celebs staying and more than happy to chat and have a drink with you. In all the hotel itself made the holiday extra special and we will definatly be back in the future.

Room Tip: all rooms seemed to be excellent.

We are 2 couples from Romania, age 26 to 31 that spent a week at Agrilia in June 2012 (June 19th - June 26th). Right as we got to the hotel, George(the hotel owner) was waiting in front of the reception area. He greeted us and was kind enough(since we arrived late) to let us have a quick dip in the hotel pool even though it was well past the pool closing hours(which is 8 PM).
The room we stayed was very pretty, clean and tidy fitted with a TV, DVD player, a spacious wardrobe, a minibar, water boiler etc. The bathroom was also very clean and everything in the room 100% functional. During our stay the room was cleaned on daily basis and the sheets changed once.
Breakfast consisted of a selection of foods: fresh and dry fruits, yogurt, feta, olives, cheese, fresh tomatoes, ciabatta bread, butter, fresh omelette, bacon, ham, corn flakes, jam, milk, peach juice etc. The dining area had a really nice small adjacent garden where you could enjoy a quiet sunny breakfast but also had an indoor part. We also had dinner there once, we ate hamburgers, gyros and tzatziki, all very good and at the same price you would find them at most restaurants in Zakynthos.
The pool area is definitely Agrilia's top feature: great wooden deck with very comfortable sun beds, nice white umbrellas, extremely clean swimming pool with an outside Jacuzzi and a pool bar with comfortable garden furniture. We spent most of our mornings there and also enjoyed spending our evenings away from the craziness of the main Laganas strip just sipping on a cocktail (my favorite would be the strawberry daiquiri). All beverages were accompanied by complementary chips or nuts and once in a while George would buy everyone a round of shots :)
George was a great host (also Hector his very friendly German shepherd). He was helpful with travel tips and also arranged our car rental. Basically what we did is hand him a map of Zakynthos and he circled all the spots worth visiting (they did not disappoint) - just taking his advice basically saved us some money. It was impressive that George was there all the time and available to solve any issues (not that there were any).
All together we had a fantastic time there. My opinion is that Agrilia is a hotel well suited for couples, but also for anyone else that is looking for a great quality/price ratio in a relaxed, clean and quiet location between 2 olives orchards away from the crazy Laganas clubs and bars. It is located at a 20mins walk to the beach. If you don't like to walk there is also a bus station 5mins away, or just calling a cab is always a good option (fixed rate of 6 euros anywhere in Laganas).
If I would have to describe Agrilia in just a few words, I would have to say: clean, tidy, welcoming, serene and lovely. We are looking forward to going back to Agrilia for a 2 weeks vacation in the summer of 2013.
