Hi! I'm a 12 yr old girl who has just returned from this amazing hotel! We went on the 10th of August til the 17th of August. We flew with First Choice along with a load of teenagers, now i dont mind this at all but you could tell some moody people on the plane did!! The only thing that i absolutely hated about this plane is no in-flight entertainment on a 3 and a bit hour journey!!
Anyway this review is about the fabulous hotel not the plane!:)
So the hotel was absolutely spotless! The members of staff were just amazing, though before we went I read a comment about the manager being the moodiest man in Greece, yeah right!!! My Mum could always crack a smile out of him! There is a waiter there called Bartek he is very good!! Along with the resturant manager who is very speedy, as soon as we entered the main buffet resturant we were allocated to our seats! There is also another buffet type resturant that's kinda near the beach, that's really nice there!!
The pool is reasonably sized, you would call it small but not many people go in it anyway!!
Make sure you go into the dive center right next to the pool because there is a English bulldog there called Sofaklis!! He is so cute!
In the buffet near the beach you will find A LOT of wasps, but its not like they can do anything about them! Its the same story with the main buffet resturant but this can easily be resolved by
eating inside with the glory of air conditioning!
The rooms are great! Always kept clean by the amazingly friendly maids, We stayed in room no. 213 we got a view of the front of the hotel when we sat on the balcony, not much sun but we liked noseying at all the coaches coming in!
In this hotel the British are the most common race, the others are Germans and Russians (in the resturant I was sick of being banged into by Russians and Germans!! they just barge into you good job there's more British :)!!!!)
The reps Lexi and Jordan were so helpful! Always up for a chat with us and when I say helpful I mean helpful!! Make sure you go to the meeting its worth it because you get to see all of the trips etc
Make sure at night you wear mossie spray, my mum got bitten loads (she had mossie spray on though :/) I got bitten once and my dad didnt get bitten at all!
The weather is absolutely scorching reaching 36 degress everyday it was almost unbearable!!
On the first day we went to Cameo island which is amazing!! Just a 45 minute walk down the beach and then when you get there you cross a bridge and at the end of that bridge the man makes you pay 4 euros each which includes a drink:) The beach is really good there and they have really loud music! I would ask Lexi or Jordan about it though!
The actual beach in front of the hotel is incredible you can go out for miles and still be standing up in the crystal clear sea! And as for the beach WOW its well cool!! The price for 2 sunbeds, plastic chair, table and an umbrellla isn't really though at a staggering price of 8 euros!
We went on a pedelo for 10 euros! But didn't see any turtles as we intended to :( we did see baby turtles though on the sand!
Also at the Pool there is a lifeguard called Sofia and she is incredible NOBODY was going to get hurt when she was around!!
The entertainment was quite good;] Beth the dancer was good at doing Fun water fitness at 12;00
Here are some activites you should do:
Vollleyball at 4:30pm
Water fun fitness at 12:00/12:30am
Thats all I did but there are LOADS more!
Oh this is how good the maids are:
My dad forgot that when you let the bath water go you have to let it go bit by bit but my dad certainly didnt do that and the room flooded lol!! All we had to do was dial 0 to reception let them know of the crisis and then they sent a maid up!! About the room my childrens bed (camp bed) was really unconfortable i ended up sleeping in my mum and dads massive bed!
Now the weather was really reallly good but one night there was a lightening storm no rain no thunder just lightening! We were just casually walking around on the road infront of the hotel and then there was lightining! Kinda scary but not extremley scary. But then it just got from bad to worse! At about 2am there was an earthquake!!!!!!My mum and I didnt feel it (heavy sleepers) but my dad got woken up by it he said he was scared to death!!
The milkshakes there are really nice also as is the fruit punch!
The only thing that got quite annoying was the all inclusive wristbands they made me have a tan line!!!
But all in all this is one spectacular hotel would love to return again!!!!
Thanks for a lovely holiday xx
P.S The manager made sure that absolutely EVERYTHING was perfect and ran smoothly, he was always alert and no matter where you went you were sure to see the manager checking if everything was ok so basically doing his job exceptionally well! One of the best hotel managers i've ever seen and the same goes for my Mum and Dad!:)
