“Average Hotel! Great Holiday!”
Reviewed July 31, 2011

Stayed here in August 2009. Hotel rooms are very basic, the shower was poor, no window in the bathroom and only one mirror in the room. We didnt really expect much though as it is an 18-30's hotel. On the plus our room was very clean, good sized with a large balcony. The hotel is in an excellent location. We got on really well with the owner Tony and all the staff at the hotel. It was a bit disappointing that we couldnt take drink to the room, it didnt bother us too much as we heard a lot of hotels in Greece are the same. Plus we got a good laugh down at the bar with everyone we met.

The location of the hotel was quite good, just outside it there's a place that sells jacket potatoes and another that sells kebabs(giros the man calls them) burgers, chips etc which are quite nice although you have to eat them outside because tony will not allow takeaway food into the hotel.

The hotel is meant to be self catering but your not allowed to take food into the hotel that's not been bought there so how can you cook your own food? Also its a 18-30's hotel but your not allowed really loud music on in your room or to bring alcohol into the hotel so you can pre-drink before you go out. The rooms are mainly clean, cleaners do a better job when your out of them room, if your asleep they just clean around your beds. Towels get changed about 3 times a week and bins are changed everyday which is quite good, the rep says that your beds should get changed everyday to new bedding but ours didn't get changed once, just the sheets made neatly. To take somebody back for the night you have to pay €30.

You have to give them one persons passport for your room then you get it back at the end of your holiday, if anything is broken or damaged in the room then you get charged. We got charged €20 between us at the end of the holiday for a bathroom door because it wouldn't open and they had to fix it. If you don't pay the money, you don't get your passport back. Your best to tell your rep and fill in a complaints form.

If you have a early morning flight home, eg. Getting picked up at 4am and flying at 7am then you'll get kicked out of your room at 12pm the day before, you can keep your room on for €30 till 9pm the same night.
Tony is quite nice if you talk to him and behave, he treats you to shots and cocktails in the bar, he makes sure your okay once your coming in and always asks where your going before you go out. He definitely likes girls more than boys, as a lot of lads tended to damage their rooms. He sits there till 8am in the next morning to make sure guests get back okay, he's known around the island as shotgun tony.

The location of the hotel is quite good tho, that's one of the only things. Its across from a minimarket which sells everything from alcohol to pasta.. Its also across the road from a restaurant called sirrocos (I think its called) which sometimes does a meal deal thing of 1 starter, 1 main and 2 drinks inc alcohol for €12 the foods quite nice. Also up the road a little bit towards the left as you walk out there's a supermarket just past the go karting where you can buy alcohol, english food, water and the only place you can get sleeves of cigarettes on the strip. The hotel is quite close to bars and main nightlife but at night its still easy to sleep. Near the hotel there's a mechanical banana which is the same as a bucking bronco you can haggle the price to €1.50 instead of €3.

Where do I start?

The Angela is not as I thought it would be.
We booked an 18-30's self catering holiday but no way would I recommend this for that!
Tony, the owner, wouldn't allow any food or drink into the place that was purchased from anywhere but his bar!!!?? Not even a bottle of WATER!
When we arrived we was demanded a $40 deposit which was not once told about! Very out of order!
The rooms were terrible, very dirty and damp. The facilities for a self catering were crap!
And if we wasn't allowed to bring any food or drink into the place, how can we make use of a self catering?!
The cleaners were rude, just barged into your room when you were sleeping to clean around you! The bins, they changed every other day....nice!

At the end of the holiday Tony decided to charge us for make up on the pillow.....like it doesn't come out in a wash!!! He charged my friend for the toilet been broke....bulls*it!
And we spoke to other girls who were staying there and he charged them for bulbs, door handle, bed slabs....

The location was brill and thats the only thing!!!

Hi guys,

Stayed at Angela studios laganas with 3 mates on a 18-30's holiday. We booked self catering so we could get our own drinks and have a beer b4 we go out etc...

The horrible greedy owner of the hotel, TONY, dont allow anything bought from outside brought into his hotel including a bottle of water. Everything must be bought from him!!! hes well known by all on the island, and anyone will tell you to steer clear from him and his discusting hotel. Im still ill from his dirty slimey pool....

He waits up all nite waiting for his pray, be wants 30 euros for any extra visitors to the hotel, 15 euros for cleaning your sheets if you dirty them in any way inc. girls getting makeup on them in the nite, 30 euros for the fridge door handle that was never there, 20 euros for the leeking toilet that needed fixing (that took hime 5 mins to fix) its like he sets you traps b4 u even arrive!! he takes your passports and 20 euros deposit off everyone, ul be lucky if you get it back i promise you....

The only way to get in his good books is if you spend every last penny at his bar and food place, or shag his creepy weird son that will try and get u in his hummer!!

Do not stay in this jail, book sumwhere else he ruined every1s holiday....
