We hadn't made a reservation, and they were fully booked but they let us have an outside table. The first surprise was no clipped on paper table cloths, which are almost ubiquitous in greek resort restaurants. Polished wooden tables made for a much better dining atmosphere. We were initially served raki with bread, tomatoes and olives which was a pleasant welcome. We both chose pork medallions as our main dish which was served in a sauce with rice. The sauce was outstanding and the meat tender and slightly pink. No chewy overcooked pork here. It was gorgeous and there was a good sized portion of it. After the main course we were served with a complimentary dessert with a dessert red wine which was an unexpected treat. I ordered an expresso to finish which was a great end to the meal. Anyone visiting Kamari should not miss out on taking a meal or two in this superb taverna. There are inside tables which are less in demand but outside has the best atmosphere.
