I first came across Dimitris Taverna's Greek night through the locals at Kamari Beach. I'm in Greece so I had to at least experience a 'Greek night' right? What I loved about this is the whole Greek experience. It's affordable, the food is AMAZING and the music well ... as Greek as it gets. Handsome bouzouki player, name Andreas is also quite lovely on the eye ladies!!! This is run by the most beautiful Greek family, they all work so hard to make sure tourists have a memorable night. I also got to smash some plates and do some Greek dancing. As my friends left the island I ended up staying at the hotel for a few extra weeks as well as have meals at the taverna's restaurant which is open everyday. The Greek nights are only on Fridays and Sunday nights. As I was on my own I would go to the Greek nights on my own and I felt so welcome as the family had a table they had friends on and I would join them. I never felt alone while I was in Santorini and ended up feeling very blessed I had a 'second home' I could go to when I felt lonely! Do yourself a favour you will love it! Tell them Betty sent you, I'm sure they'll shout you the first drink as a gesture of friendship! Enjoy! Opa! :) .
