Description: Black Stone is a place to eat, to eat properly and combine your meal with a great beer from the large variety that the restaurant offers. Besides the food and the drinks here you can find a friend, a person to chat,to feel like you are home. That is our moto! Hope to see you all!

Black Stone is an absolute gem in Kamari. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is excellent as were the beers! I'm not sure it was a life changing experience as some suggest on here, but certainly a very good one - so much so we went there two nights in a row (of a 5 night stay!) which is very, very unusual for us. The donkey beer is delightful and you are certainly spoilt for choice if you enjoy good beers.

During our week in Kamari, we visited about a dozen different bars/restaurants and this was one of the best by a long way. It's only small, but the owners really know how to cook, serve and entertain. The selection of beers available was fantastic and the huge amount of top quality food on each plate meant you got great value for money. Highly recommended.

We went to Black Stone after the good reviews we read on TA. Fortunately, it was everything just like the reviews. The staff was friendly, the food was good, the prices reasonable and the cold donkey beer was amazing! The bill came with two little presents, a small black stone and two shots of martini something which was delicious! We wanted to drink more! If you like pubs don't miss it!

When arriving at the restaurant we were greeted with a smile and a handshake and shown to our seat. The menu was extensive and the food seemed very authentic - the Kleftico arrived as it was cooked, in a greaseproof paper bag, and the lamb was very tender. The Stroganof was rich and tasty too. We had tomato and zuccini (courgette) balls for starter which the nicest we had tasted in Santorini.
The restaurant also prides itself on its beer selection, though the glass of house red wine we ordered was also delicious. They also brought a homemade dip with grilled bread while we were waiting for our starters - very tasty.
We were brought a schnapps-like shot with our bill and received a warm handshake as we stood up to leave. This is the only place that we tipped during our stay.

Refreshingly unassuming as you approach. You won't be ushered in and you can actually stand and read the menu and nobody will bother you. The staff are engaging with a good sense of humour. They specialise in the local brewer's beers i.e. crazy donkey which actually goes well with the food. Quiet ambient music from yesteryear plays in the background and is just right. We've eaten twice here now and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
