Had a wonderful 'Mumma Mia' trip here with a friend of mine and both our mums from the 6th-11th June.
We arrived late at night to super friendly staff and were upgraded from a junior suite to 2 seperate rooms which ideal. We later figured out that they had not been expecting us as we had booked through a package website, but they never let on to us!
The brunette receptionist and the older waiter at breakfast were especially hospitable during our stay, the waiter even brought my friend and I a 'little pressie' as it was her birthday and he didn't want me to feel left out!
The resort has shuttles going to both Fira and Kamari 4 times a day but taxis are just as cheap, cheaper if you go to Kamari!
We had a wonderful time here and would highly recommend them.

My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights during our 6 month trip and absolutely loved it!!!
The rooms are lovely and big. The pool and bar are gorgeous and breakfast has a great variety. The staff were so helpful and we had fun laughs with some of them.
We hired a car for 3 days to go around the island so getting around was easy. Will definitely stay here again :)

We had a lovely Honeymoon at this hotel 12th June to 19 th June 2012.
They gave us a free upgrade to a suite, very nice rooms. The hotel is out of the main resort of Kamari, but we hired a moped from Saki's In Kamari at a very reasonable rate, and would highly reccomed that you do the same if your confident, If not the hotel do run a bus 4 times a day into Kamari and Thira. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would go back here anytime.
Only downside was the early wake up from the brids in the tree's outside, this could be because we where in a suite which was raised at tree hight, so may have been much loader for us, the would wake us up every sun rise. Beautiful sunset in Thira.

Room Tip: our suite was loud with brids in the morning as it was up a flight of stairs, and so at tree level...

We found the Imperial Med Hotel just a little bit too far out of Kamari. The staff however were brilliant - couldn't be more helpful!! Breakfast was fabulous - lots of different choices.
However the rooms were hardly 5 star and they reckon they are 5 star. Cleaning left a lot to be desired!! The owners girlfriend/wife strutted about with her dog at her heels and lay by the pool in a very skimpy bikini which put people off!!
The end of the runway is right next to the hotel, so gets very noisy during take-off.

Myself and my partner are just back from a week here, the 1st main week of the season in santorini.

Firstly, you have to be a bit of a born complainer to be bothered by the airport. Max 6-7 flights per day and never in the middle of the night, latest we noticed was around 22.30.

Twenty minute walk along the road/beach to Kamari, a nice little resort. If you are doing the walk on the beach, don't wear flip flops as the large stones on the beach don't make for an overly comfortable walk otherwise.

The service at the hotel is impeccable, and I have no complaints about any members of the staff. The only downside of our trip was the state of the "private" beach when we got there... It wasn't flattened and it didn't have any loungers out - the hotel assured us it was because it was so early in the season (they were fixing this as we were leaving).

Santorini is a beautiful island and this is a perfect base of operations - not overrun with kids or young people, is ideal for couples from all kinds of countries. If you really want to make the most of your holiday here and you aren't a lay around the pool all day kind of person, then you WILL need to hire a car/quad/scooter as taxis are pretty hard to come by at times, and are pretty expensive.

All in all, 8/10 - thanks to imperial med I'm no longer a ridiculously hard person to please!

... it's right next to the airport. Don't be fooled by getting a cab and they want to charge you €10 for a 2 minute transfer. They do arrange quad bikes, day trips and boat trips. Staff are friendly and the rooms were clean.

Okay, so I read some reviews prior to going about the airport being too close and that photo of the deck chair in the shrubbery haha...but really the place is just wonderful. Yes the airport is within eye shot, and you can hear from 1-5 planes land and take off each day. If you're precious then this could be an issue, but it lasts for about 2 seconds, and what might sound like a pain, is in fact quite quirky. It did not bother me one bit and they weren't any planes at unsociable hours. The hotel was SPOTLESS. The cleaners were fantastic leaving our room immaculate each day. The pool is so clean you can drink it (I only know this due to my boyfriend dunking me under water). The staff are wonderful and accomodating. The only downfall is perhaps the lack of life around the hotel. There is a shop about a mile away and I enjoyed the walk, but it would have been nice to have it a bit closer. You do have to get cabs everywhere ranging from 5-10 Euro to Kamari and 12-15 to Fira (depends how they feel). However, the hotel lay on a cheaper minibus service 5 times a day which is a great help. In fairness I love a good moan, but I really have nothing negative to say about the hotel. The receptionists were fantastic, especially Andreas and the waiters are exceptional. It was predominantly couples over 35 there, which was perfect for me at 28 because I did not want a rowdy hotel. Lovely guests and a beautiful island. We were upgraded to a suit which was beautiful with a sea view. The pool at night is surrounded with candles and atmospheric music...if you're a couple seeking the ultimate romantic relaxation holiday...go here!!! Love love LOVE it and will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: I had suite 703 with a terrace, sea view and it was awesome!
