Description: At the center of Kamari, the most popular beach of Santorini, a blue-white restaurant, Skaramagas, one of the oldest in the area, offers you the tastiest hospitality. The green yard in the shadow, the tables at the waterfront, the traditional Greek tablecloths, the blue chairs, the clean and friendly environment, and the quick and helpful service add to your pleasure. The recipes are light and the vegetarians find many dishes to choose from.Inspired traditional Greek cuisine with special emphasis on the appetizers, "mezedes", is what makes the restaurant different. Here you can taste Santorinian dishes made of local products, like fava beans, cherry tomatoes, caper and kaltsounia. Don't miss the fresh fish, the Mediterranean lobster and the delicious seashell stuffed with spinach and seafood gratin. The filets are special and the wine list includes the best Santorinian and Greek wines. You are invited to enjoy your meal by the sea, from noon overlooking Anafi Island, till midnight under the summer moonlight.

“Poor service, poor food.”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

The only good thing in this restaurant is the location. Just in front of the beach, which gives a very nice atmospaire. Except for that, nothing else to remember. A waiter was tryng to bring you in as we were walking in front of them and sadly we were convinced to give it a try. Expensive, low quality and that is all. You can find much better quality in nearby restaurants.

“Kleftiko heaven!”
Reviewed December 14, 2013 via mobile

This was the best Kleftiko we have ever tasted. We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant and I will definitely be going back again. Very surprised to read the other reviews as I am pretty hard to please! Give it a go- I don't think you'll be disappointed.

“Overcharge for low quality.”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

The quality was really bad. We ordered "fresh" fish but we got something that was not even close to fish. They charged a lot for what we 've finally got. There is a girl always on the door trying to attract people in the restaurant (although we saw that in a lot of restaurant too and sometimes the behaviour was very bad). We wanted to try fish because there are not a lot of fish restaurants in Kamari but it turned out to be a poor choise. Not recomended.

“Kamari golden rule of dining”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

After maybe 20-25 experiences of the area in 2013 a great rule of thumb has to be - those that try and drag you in are generally average to poor, those with no folk "working the street" you will find to be good or excellent.
Skaramagas slots firmly into category A.
Our first evening meal on our second visit this year - we were looking for Ivan at the restaurant next door. Disarmed by the patter, what's the worst that could happen.
Nothing really. Totally fine. Average moussaka, average kalamari, average lamb shank, average tomato balls.
Nothing to cry or sing about.
Totally acceptable at £40 for two no major drinks. Hardly recommended. But nothing to fear.

Spent a week with friends in the resort which we loved. However this restaurant was not the best experience - while all the others were. Waiter was a bit surly and wanted four of us to share a bream at around 23 euros a person. Very expensive for what it was.
Anyway he put us off and we chose other meals which were ok. No real atmosphere while at everywhere else we had lunch/dinner it was great fun and the staff made you feel really welcome.
