“Fabulous Food & Friendly Staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2011

I can't recommend this restaurant enough.........fabulous food and customer service is second to none! We were approached by Dan on our first evening and even though he tried to get us to eat there we refused as we wanted to go down to the beach where most of the bars and restaurants are. He was very charming and remained pleasant when we refused. Well we gave in on the second evening as we just couldn't resist that charming smile and friendly personality. The customer service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who are Egyptian, Serbian and Albanian. The food was excellent and we ate there a few times during our weeks holiday. I would say this is one of the friendliest restaurants in Kamari and some of the other restaurant workers could do with taking some lessons in customer service from the lovely staff at the 'Peros'

“Dont give in to the pushy spruikers”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2011

After a week on Santorini we gave in to the pushy men out the front with the promise of the best food on the island. Well it wasn't. It was ok but over priced and not traditional Greek. If you want good Greek food avoid the ones that try to drag you off the footpath and go the crowded ones that are genuine with no one out the front, just busy staff working. One that stands out is Dana's and the family one on the corner just down the street from Peros away from the beach front. Oh, and if you wish to use your credit card to pay the bill check first to make sure if their telephone line is fixed yet.

“Outstanding Service, great value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2011

This is a place we kept avoiding due to the "hassling" we got as we tried to walk past, however, one evening, we gave in and ate there, and so glad we did!

Firstly, you are continually pestered to eat there, this is a tactic taken up by many resteraunts in Kamari, and you get used to it after a while, it is all good natured however, and you can either ignore it or just say a polite no.

Once we were in this restaurant, we were treated to the best ever customer service. All resteraunts should send their staff here for training! The Albanian waiter was attentive, professional, friendly to the extreme. An absolute delight to talk to, always smiling (a genuine smile, not those fake smiles you see so many times!). Not forgetting the food, it was delicious, and by far the best value too.

I cannot recommend this resteraunt highly enough, you must eat here! (Ps don't sit near the menu lights, too many bugs!)

“Friendly waiters and good food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2011

In Kamari there stood employed outside their restaurants, as they use to. It was "No Name" and "Peros". Since I have difficulty with this, we chose not to visit any of them. But the second night we felt for “Peros”. They had a twinkle in there eyes, and we chose to go into the restaurant. In the end we came back for the rest of the week. Two dinners were ok and three of them were superb.

Our waiter was Amin and when we explained that we were not interested in the menu and we asked what they had to offer he served us a dish of Red Snapper. Very good! And a chilled wine, Nykteri. The food that was ok was their Mixed Grilled (meat) and Mixed Grilled (fish). Their lobster with spaghetti was great! The wine was not the best ... but I have rarely been served good wine in Greece the last 10 years.

It was interesting to watch them work. The gays who attract the customers on the street was friendly. They exchanged a few words with all the people and they did it in a way so you felt
Recognized. One of the waiters that we called "the guy from Albania" was fast, efficient and a really nice guy who worked many hours per day.

Amin made a big impression and he could really sell their food. He had a twinkle in his eye, and often came up with crazy extra dishes. He also invited us to his second job, a restaurant in the mountains. But we did not get there. He also wanted us to join him there for drinks and he also wanted us to go out last night together. We felt that we did not really dare to take a taxi to an unknown location in the mountains with a waiter that we had known for one day only. In the end we got a bottle Nykteri home with us and Amin wrote down phone numbers and a warm greeting. We felt appreciated and it was very nice to spend his evenings at the restaurant Peros. Bill was between 35-80 Euros depending on the quality of the food and how much wine that ended up on the table. We got there and said what we wanted, which resulted in that we did not know what the bill would be on. So we ordered the day before and they gave us the price of the bill, which felt better.

Like I said! A wonderful experience, varying quality of the food and the staff did everything to you, the customer felt special. Just what you want to be on holidays.

“Fantastic service, great food & great staff who couldn't do enough for you!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2011

I ended up here every time I passed, whether it be for breakfast, afternoon coffee or evening meal with the family - had great chats with Ivan over drinks and was always made most welcome, felt part of the family and nothing was too much trouble. Great selection of food, typical greek taverna, never disappointed. Would recommend and I am looking forward to returning up the mountains and then for a coffee afterwards with Ivan. Thanks Ivan and to all the other staff we had a wonderful time.
