Description: Sellada is a family taverna with local specialities in a cosy veranda. You have to queue in order to get a table in the peak dinner hours! We do our best so that you are happy with our dishes & service; and, so that we can guarantee the quality of our food we have chosen to keep our restaurant small. Authentic Greek cuisine with fresh local products & daily menu at the best value for money!

I have been coming to Kamari for many years and always visit this wonderful typical Greek taverna. It is tucked away at the top of the high street, so a little away from all the other tavernas. It is still a busy little taverna with a good home cooked menu. However many of the dishes ie Papoutsakia have been axed from the menu. Whatever you choose will be good, the best fava we have had served in the traditional way...hot, drizzled with olive oil and topped with chopped onion. Our meals were excellent but we were sad to see that retsina was also ‘off’ the menu!
The sad thing about this taverna, is the fact it has cut right back on tables and now about half the size it was. It seems to be concentrating more on juices , coffees and small cakes. Apparently is now so just the family are involved. To me it shows the sad state of the Greek economy.
P.S. not sure about the squawking bird.

We have been coming to the Sellada for the last twelve years and were looking forward to returning on our annual visit to Kamari. This was so sad to see the downfall of a typical Greek Taverna.
The restaurant has been halved in size and, according to the owner, it was the only way they were going to survive. Only six tables for clients and a very limited menu. Gone are the likes of stifado and kokkonisto along with their Retsina wine. Specials were scribbled in felt pen on paper and we felt sorry for everyone involved with the place. The courses we chose were well presented, hot and more than adequate. The house wine was acceptable and although one should not expect the complimentary ouzo to end-it wasn’t forthcoming. I’m glad we went to support the place but an in-house family argument during our visit didn’t help.
Will it survive-alas I don’t think so.

Sited at the top of the hill as you enter the main drag towards Kamari beachfront. We had 3 meals at Sellada and they were excellent. The service the food and the price put a few other local restaurants to shame, this restaurant seems to be one of the ones that you either know or you don’t. If you’re after a good value lunch, brunch or dinner give Sellada a go and i’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

The best food in Greece. Try tomatokefredes! We had dinner there all 3 nights on Santorini. Everything we had there- chicken, fish, lamb was superb.

This taverna is amazing! It is family owned and you can feel their love and dedication in the provided food and service. We spent a week in Kamari, and every night (except Sundays, when it's closed) we had dinner here. The discrete greek music and the smiles of the owners make the atmosphere perfect. I loved the fact that in the menu it is specified which seafood or fish it is fresh or frozen. I loved the grilled sea bream and the tasty house wine! When in Santorini, do not miss this restaurant! I will definitely come back!
