We shouldn't really have stayed here at all..our original choice of hotel was double booked, so we arrived with some anxiety.
However, our luck was in that day as we loved this hotel. It is small, beautiful and perfectly placed to enjoy everything Kamari has to offer. Only a short walk away from the beach and restaurants but very quiet.
We were made most welcome by the lady owner/manager (yassoo!) and all the staff.. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and everywhere was spotless.
Our room was cleaned daily and even though we were only there for a week (pity!) our linen was changed frequently.

Yes you can see the planes from the pool area but it was not too intrusive & we quite liked it!

I'm just sorry we had to leave, but having seen most of the island we would definitely stay there next time.

We arrived at the Anassa as two very tired newly weds. We were greeted immediately by a lovely lady (I am sorry - I don't remember her name) who was incredibly friendly and not only did she upgrade our room because it was our honeymoon, but she gave us some very valuable information to help with our orientation and she gave us a suggestion about where to eat that night.

The welcome we received was exactly what we needed and I only wish we had been able to stay longer to enjoy the hotel properly.

If i had to do it all over again I'd do it the same exact way!! The very basic room at this beautiful hotel proved to be more than just basic. It was large, had a large veranda, small kitchen, and beautiful amenities!!! The receptionist, Fotoula, is EXCELLENT!! She really helped us with getting around the island as well as with anything we might have needed during our stay. The pool area is great for hanging out and napping during siesta time! Kamari (the village this hotel is in) is the best place to stay in Santorini. Everything is cheaper and the food is amazing. The hotel is located literally a minute away (walking) from the beach. The rest of the towns and places to visit are easily accessible by car/moto. I would only rent a motorcycle/car for part of my stay, because there is plenty to do in Kamari (just no sunset view). Although a bit expensive, the rooms are much better priced than some of the caldera hotels. Honestly, you can visit the caldera every night if you want and save money and enjoy your stay much more at this hotel!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are a bit more quiet and private!

My partner and I really loved this hotel. The building and facilities are clean and spotless. It was clear this place is new and the hotel staff take such care to keep it in great condition. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach and promenade - very accessible!

The hostess really made our stay fantastic. I forget her name but she welcomed us with a great smile and she had a very genuine attitude when it came to helping us with anything. When the airline lost one of our bags on arrival, we thought it would ruin our trip. Our hostess diligently communicated with the airline to make sure our bag was found and she directed us to shoppes where we could get some clothes to tide us over until our suitcase arrived. It was a blessing to get a phone call from her early the next day telling us that our suitcase had arrived and was waiting for us in our room.

The hostess also gave us recommendations on where to shop and eat. She even arranged for our rental car to be waiting for us at the front of the hotel on the day we needed it.

We stayed in a deluxe room and were impressed at how clean and spacious it was. The beds are on the firm side but we had no trouble falling asleep after a busy day of sightseeing (or doing nothing). Our room had all of the modern conveniences; fridge, hot plate, A/C and even a whirlpool bathtub!

The breakfasts were great. Lots of cold and warm foods and beverages to select. Eating breakfast by the pool was a great way to wake up and start the day.

On our last day, the hostess called the airlines to double check they had our check-in information and she also called the taxi service which arrived right on time early the next morning.

I would definitely recommend this place to others and their family. When visiting Santorini we will stay here again without a doubt!

Second visit to Anassa in 10 months and its still as great as ever. Fotini (owner) really makes this place what it is, it’s a beautiful little complex brilliantly run. But its the warmth and friendliness of the hostess that make this place so great. We got married in Santorini in June and we were staying at Anassa in the build up to the wedding and for 3 nights after in the Honeymoon suite. As always we were brilliantly looked after with our visitors very well treated, buses booked and priced for us by Fotini, advice given and the facilty was so well run. The honeymoon suite was fantastic and when we returned following the wedding the room was decorated for us and lanterns and bunting and had been cleaned and all our clothes tidied away etc as it was like a bomb hit it in the preparations for the wedding. We were given a great deal upon booking for the wedding stay and even given a car for a day rent free,. if you are going to stay in Kamari its a great choice. we love Oia but it wasn't a practical choice with wedding guests etc needing a more traditional resort. Its such a great hotel we loved it there and knew it was one less thing to worry about in the run up to the wedding. Thank you again to all at Anassa for a great holiday.

Our clan of 11 people descended upon the Anassa, and Ms Fotini and her staff were ready, willing and able to make our stay truly memorable. From our younger kids to my disabled uncle, everyone had the best time, thanks to the fantastic service and wonderful accomodations at the Anassa. This is the place for families on Sanotorini!

"I booked us into a nice boutique hotel" my colleague told me. Last time that happened, even she will admit, the hotel did not live up to it's brochure image. The three of us turned up at the Anassa and I remember being not too impressed. Then I stepped inside. The place was 'hospital' spotless. Reception was manned by Fotini who greeted us with a big smile. It became apparent to all of us within the first day that nothing was going to be too much trouble for this lady and her team. The whole squad bent over backwards to help us out with any and every daft query we had. I could babble all day but it's safe to say I'll be taking my wife there for some R&R in the near future. The added bonus of Santorini, in general, is that the union jack shorts wearing Brit beer monkeys haven't discovered it. And as long as they stay illiterate they won't be reading this so hopefully it will stay that way. Recommend it for families??? Defo!
