My wife and I had an 11 night stay with our two children (7 and 3 years old) and absolutely loved it.
The food was excellent, with a varied choice each night to the point that we didn’t want to eat outside of the hotel (we did one night and it wasn’t anywhere near as good as the hotel).
There were lots of branded drinks and no real wait to be served.
We had an older style room which was clean and spacious, the only compliant could be the loud air conditioning unit.
The pools were great, and we were spoiled throughout the day with a wide range of snacks constantly available.
Particular highlights were the foam/pool party and the daytime pool party which we all loved. The entertainment staff were great and constantly made the effort to include our shy 3 year old. They were fun and engaging and the kids were excited for their disco each night.
Before we arrived, we read negative comments about the difficulty in getting a sun bed, however the hotel has responded and employed a clear policy of not reserving them and folks were notified 45 minutes before their towels were carefully removed and stored. Credit must be given to the deputy manager who did this difficult task in a courteous and polite manner, subsequently all were able to get a space around the pool when they were ready.
The resort is lovely and we enjoyed our days at the nearest beach as well as around the marina.
In summary we had a fantastic holiday and will be back.

Our apartment was one of the older ones and whilst spacious was definitely in need of updating - think 70s brown decor. The beds were comfortable and the staff quickly brought us a cot for the toddler to sleep in. The rooms were very clean and cleaned
throughout our stay. The sofas weren’t particularly comfortable but we didn’t spend much time in there. The downside to the room was the water in the room tasted like chlorine.
The pools were all lovely, with the kids pool and slides a particular attraction for our toddler. They were shallow enough to run around safely in (0.2-0.35m) and gain some independence.
The only downside to the hotel is the food. If you go all inclusive, there is a reasonable variety of food for the size of hotel. However the quality of the food itself is not high. We thought all inclusive would make it easier for us with a toddler but as mealtimes in the restaurant itself were quite late this made options quite difficult. The poolside bars did offer food throughout the day, but this was largely fried food eg chips/fish fingers. Within the restaurant lunch was from 1-3 and dinner from 7 onwards, so making mealtimes fit for a toddlers bedtime was hard. The food itself was low quality, as one example at breakfast there was reconstituted bacon not bacon itself. With the evening meals there was a nightly theme eg Asian, Indian. There were always two pasta choices (filled or not) with 2/3 sauces, pizza and chips in addition to the themed food. Together with a salad bar and desert section. There was also a microwave in the restaurant, which at first I thought was for parents to heat baby food but I often saw people heating up their own main meal to make this an appropriate temperature. As our room had a fridge and small hob we used this to keep the options open for our toddler.
Overall the hotel was fine, with the staff themselves being lovely and the pools fun for the kids. But in terms of the food, if you enjoy quality over quantity this may not be the place for you.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your insights following your recent visit. We always look for ways to improve and your comments are crucial to our future success.

At Mar Hotels Paradise Club & Spa, we understand that food and drinks are important aspects of our guests’ overall expérience, this is why our chefs have created a varied assortment of options to please every type of palate. Reading that you were satisfied with the quality but at times a little bit disappointed with the variety, makes us feel that we are doing a good job but with possibilities to do even better, and therefore we will revise why during your stay we didn´t seem to achieve our goal to offer a wide choice in each and every meal.

As far as the meal schedules are concerned, the origin of our guest is very wide and therefore, we try to satisfy all of them.

Thank you once again for making us your choice hotel and for your constructive critics, we certaily look forward to serving you again and to have the opportunity to exceed you expectations in a not too distant future.

We have just got back from a lovely 2 week all inclusive family holiday.

Before booking we done a lot of research into finding somewhere with great kids entertainment, for our children 12,5 and 2.

Our 5 star rating goes to the entertainment team, especially Danny, Andrei and Javier. Who, from day one of meeting our children made them feel so welcome. And kept them as entertained as possible. Our 2 year old fell in love with the mascot coco. And all of the team were brilliant in letting him see him as much as he could and even giving him extra cuddles with coco.

Our room was lovely. Very modern and spacious. Although my brother stayed in one of the older rooms and said it was nothing like how ours was (although I didn’t personally see the room)

The maids who assisted in keeping our room clean were lovely. And always very happy to see us and the children.

The restaurant was clean, and staff well presented. And we’re too always polite and welcoming.

Food was nice. Different selection most nights. Some themed nights too. (Mexican, Chinese, Indian )
The selection for children wasn’t great. But 5 year old is very fussy. Just could have been a few more options in my opinion.

Pools were great. Something for all ages,
Mini splash park including multiple slides and water feature.
Larger water slides for older kids and adults.
Large main pool with a quieter pool above.
Which had bars serving food and drink at both.

Life guard Pepé (apologies if spelt wrong) was great. Very alert and on the ball. Walks around where as other lifeguards just sat looking. And was so good with the kids. Took them for a little walk around on a floatie just before pool was closing. Was offering advice to children around the pool about swimming etc.

Reception team always lovely and helpful.

As mentioned in other reviews the hotel is a little dated in areas. But is being refurbished as and when is possible.

Can’t help but think that some of the negative reviews about this place are from people who could find fault in the most perfect place.

Thank you to all the hard working staff for giving us a very memorable stay. And we look forward to seeing you all in the future.

Jade xx

Just back from a week at this hotel and it was pretty good. We were put in one of the 'older' rooms at the back of the complex but we had asked for a quiet room so no complaints. The room itself was absolutely fine, bathroom big and clean and the daily housekeeping meant fresh towels every day. We did get a bottle of water on the first day and then just used the water dispensers in the lobby and at the snack bar to make sure we were topped up after that.

We felt that the food during breakfast and lunch was better then the evenings but it's got to be hard to please that many people... breakfast choices included cereals, fruit, yoghurts, toast, pastries and hot options like scrambled eggs, beans and bacon. Lunch was a mix but always included some form of paellea/rice dish and there was always pizza and salad bits to choose from.

We thought the all inclusive drinks option was really good - and available from 11am(ish) at the pool bar through to 11pm in the lobby bar - wines, beers, spirits, cava & cocktails (quite generous measures!)

Pools - there is a childrens pool at the top of the complex and then two pools in the main area, we went mid September and didn't have any problems getting sun beds. Had a go at water aerobics and aqua zumba which was a bit of a laugh.

Entertainment - in the evenings it was the sort of thing you expect (we didn't take part much, as we headed out for a few drinks to the marina). We don't have children but from what i saw, the animation team were brilliant with kids, plenty of games and things going on to amuse them.

Location - just off the marina, actually a great spot if you like to have a mooch about and a drink in the evening. There is a small square with a few restaurants and some guys played live music and people danced, which was actually really lovely to watch. If you do head out for an evening meal, we would recommend Bahia.
The beach was a 5/10 minute walk away so not too far to go and it wasn't that busy on the days we popped down there.

All in all, a good base, I'd say great if you have kids as it's safe and there's enough going on to amuse them.

Room tip: ask for a ground floor if mobility issues....

Before i review the negative comments
I must say 99 % of the staff here are polite courteous and hard working.
Check in was fine offered a cold 2
drink....paid 3 euros per day for the
safe and tourist tax of 3 euros 30
cents each for first 8 days and 1 euro 65 for remaining 3 days.

Also there is a ten euro deposit for safe key..so 105 euros before we
crossed threshold of room.. we were happy with that as we read up on this when booking..only put it on for
reference.
On reading previous reviews there are
clearly refurbished and not
refurbished accomodation.
Our 1 bed appartment was clearly the
latter on entering it smelt like a
damp bed sit , as it did when we left.Bubbling paint on the walls and
ceilings, rusty mirror in bathroom, peeling paint in shower and a front door that wouldnt have looked out of place in a prison... dark blue metal and broken fixed with a couple of badly placed 3 inch screws on the inside. The appartment was clean but
not on top of door arvitraves which have never seen a cleaner(see photos)

Apt was sparsely furnished and
not even a tea towel provided. The bed was very comfy and a saving grace, air con also very good.Linen and towels
clean.
Pool areas nice but sunbeds are all
on top of each other ,no personal
space.
Food breakfast poor...lukewarm food and poor quality sausages and bacon but the orange juicer was a nice touch.

Lunch and evening meal poor chips and piza with every chicken dish going
using every bit of the chicken apart from breast most nights....the grill was ok if you like grilled pork chops or fish or some unidentifiable cuts of very fatty meat.
It was so bad we ate out a lot of
nights and skipped lunch...if we did eat there it was chips and lukewarm packet pizza.

The pool bars are good, yes they use paper cups but should do around the
poolside....common sense.
Main hotel bar seves estrella and some branded drinks such as bacardi. Some queues for drinks but no more than 3 or 4 mins..bar staff were all fab!!

Lots of young kids here even out of
school holiday season most quite well
behaved but usual kids from hell who are allowed to scream at the top of
their voices all day without so much
of a minor chastisement.
The animation team although nice
people were the worst ive seen in 20
years...good with the kids from 8 till 930 then quite honestly
appaling...most of the entertainment
was the animation team singing doing silly dances that looked like a
junior school end of year
assembly. The jewels in the crown were bingo night where if you got a line
you had to stand up and shout shaky
shaky to get the retort mincy mincy which they clearly thought was
funny....personally ive had more
laughs at a funeral tea, another un-highlight was karaoke night which was like the karaoke night on benidorm....only 2 people sang the rest of the time the
animation team sang...utter
rubbish!!!If i could have found an early reasonably priced flight home id have booked one.
This place may be in transition i dont know but im afraid not only have i lost faith in tui branding this 4
star but also some of the reviews waxing lyrical about this place have
me scratching my head about trip
advisor as many people we spoke to here were of the same view.I will be
complaining to tui when i get home.

Sorry staff you all are great people who work hard, thankyou for that but
this place needs some serious upgrading as as it stands it is simply a butlins abroad. We have been
on many tui all inclusives over ths past 10 years and this is by farthe worst by a country mile.Believe it or not we are not usually complainers,we always try to be honest and fair in our reviews, and sadly we have been both in this review....we will not be back "mincy mincy"
