This place is definitely great for families, and the food is excellent, the main restaurant is as good as any top hotel restaurant, with a great variety catering for children and adults. The cheese board was to die for and the staff were warm and service brilliant. The evening entertainment was great for children and adults and didn't go on too late. We were able to sit and watch the entertain and the children could either join in or play table tennis or generally run around with their friends, there was enough room. The only very small downside was that the pool and around the pool area did have some sharp and uneven tiles and a couple of children when we were there did get cuts and scrapes because of this. Also the pool tiles were slippy when wet - something that definitely needs sorting!

Room Tip: Most rooms are good but I think they may need updating soon.

went to this resort, on my first ever trip abroad, and i was impressed. it was very clean, the staff were very friendly and the food was to die for. just a few minutes walk from the marina and white sandy beach this place has everything you would want for a lovely family holiday. the main pool is a very good size and the kids pool has a great set of slides.
i would love to go back one day :)

we really enjoyed it here, its a run from the airport and we had a hire car that i would recommend. Its fantastic for children the entertainers really make it for them and are very hard working. Local beaches a bit crowded but it was the height of the season, Its a pleasure to drive around and explore.

We spent a week here in June 2012 with our 3 children, 8, 5 and 18 months. Spent most of the week in the pool which the kids loved! Hotel was not too busy so there was plenty of sun loungers available. Pool was quite deep for the little ones who tended to congregate at the ramped entrance to the pool, but as it was fairly quiet was ok. Although we booked self-catering we decided to upgrade to all-inclusive on our arrival having read some of the food reviews. We were not disappointed. There was a good selection always available and some of the theme nights were fun. The hotel is a 15-20 min walk from the resort centre which was a little challenging on a hot day with three children but nonetheless, we spent a couple of enjoyable days at the beach and the Goody Goody Park. Hotel provided picnics for our days out (sandwiches, fruit and a drink). We used the kids clubs a couple of times. The entertainers were very enthusiastic although security felt a little too relaxed at times. Evening entertainment consisted of a kids mini disco (which they all seemed to love) followed by some general entertainment. We quite enjoyed the entertainment and was a nice way to round of the day. We had a ground floor apartment in the block facing the pool (although we were facing away) and despite being close to the action, it was very peaceful. Rooms were ok and cleaned every other day. Thought the kitchenette was a bit naff though and though it was a bit inadequate for self-catering. Only negatives really were having to pay extra to use the safe, confusion about whether we would have to pay extra for a cot (we were told it was included and found on our arrival it was not) and the lack of a Thomas Cook rep but they were irritations rather than anything else.

We stayed here for 10 days in the summer with our 2 children. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and OK. The staff are friendly and helpful. Food in the buffet style restaurant can get a bit repetative but is pleasant enough and always something to please everyone, even the fussy kids. Pool areas are nice, the kids pool with the pirate ship is busy but lots of fun. Entertainment a bit hit and miss but the kids really enjoyed the mini disco every night.

Wanderful holiday for one week all inclusive with our 6 month old baby. First time abroad with him and would totally recommend it to families with young children. Plenty to do. Entertainment team work tirelessly to include everyone in daily activities. Food was lovely and plenty of variety. The pirate pool was a bit old for our little one but I am sure would have loved it had he been older.Would definately go back. Only negative is that the rooms could do with a bit of TLC, looking a bit tired but spotlessly clean which was my priority.

Room Tip: Block 4 a lot more peaceful than the block next to the pirate ship pool for obvious reasons.

After visiting Cala N Bosch several times during our trips to Menorca we decided to stay here instead of Cala N Forcat. What a result! After reading all the reviews I must admit I was a little apprehensive of this hotel but I could not have been more wrong. Everything about this place is near excellence, from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. The staff are brilliant and just cant do enough to help you.
Before we traveled I'd emailed them to request a ground floor room for my parents as my mum has walking difficulties and as soon as we checked in they made sure we had adjoining rooms, one being a ground floor. Its the small things in life which make a difference!
We went on a self catering basis so although I cant comment on the food, some people we spoke to said it was excellent.
We was allocated room 3104 which is in the rear of block 3 and does not overlook the pool or complex which although it does not get as much sun it is a lot quieter.
The rooms are adequate for a family of four (two adults two kids aged 10 and 4) but not as spacious as some hotels we have stayed in. Ground floors seem to be better laid out than than the upper floors with a bigger balcony.
As some reviews said yes the rooms are a little tired but what do you expect with so many people/families passing through every week? Our room was great apart from a few scuffs/marks on the furniture it was perfect. Room has TV with a few English channels, kitchen including kettle, microwave, fridge, toaster etc and air con. Now as many reviews have said the air con is not up too much. In fact an asthmatic, overweight dog could have done better but it did take the "edge" off the heat of the day.
Beds.....Now this is a sore subject! If I had to mark the hotel it would be on the beds and pillows, they are not comfy as some hotels I've stayed in. There adequate but that is all, do not expect full blown memory foam comfort because there not.
Maid service was every day apart from Thursday and Sunday, only thing they did not do was wash the pots, otherwise they clean. fresh towels and bed linen.
Internet (WIFI) is available in the reception area only and is free although would be great to maybe extend the coverage across the complex.
Indoor pool and jacuzzi was a hit, especially when it got a little bit too much!
Pool.......Is brilliant. Lovely shallow bit which leads into a cloverleaf shaped pool, which is kept immaculate by the on site life guard and cleaners. Yes there is a couple of wobbly or broken tiles but during our 10 days there no body hurt themselves and I'm sure through the winter months they will get sorted. Nice bit of music is played during the day from the hotel side and poolside bar, although different songs it just takes the edge off the day without being too intrusive and not too loud.
The pirate ship is located across the road from the main pool next to the restaurant, now the road is just a loop/service road which carries hardly any traffic at all and is quiet most of the time. It does become a problem when one child wants to be there and another does not but it is only a matter of yards between the two so all is not lost. It is a great pool with slides, cannons etc, plenty enough to keep the little ones happy!
The entertainment that is laid on was very good. Although we headed out most evenings what we did see was brilliant. It's very much focused on families and kids, but that is the theme of the hotel so don't please expect any more.
The main resort of Cala n Bosch is only a very steady 10 min stroll. Lots of bars, restaurants, shops and the harbor to explore. Be sure to check out Chaplins whilst you're there, just for the entertainment factor! El Paso has the best food and service in the area, the kebabs are to die for.
One thing that is missing from the harbor is a lack of kids play areas. Many other resorts have huge areas assigned for kids but down here there is not that much, I'm sure if they did they would gather a lot more business. The play area near the harbor as you walk down near the bridge was closed which I'm putting down to being the end of season and hopefully not closed forever.
Beach is just past the harbor and is clean, tidy and if you love that kind of thing its perfect.
We traveled on 1st Oct for 10 days and upon speaking to several workers out there it seems that as of 23rd Oct everything winds down and places start to close. (Viva Menorca closed on 13th Oct) I would advise that during half term this place will become a ghost town.
Overall Viva Menorca is well worth its four stars and the staff including the entertainment team make it what it is. If you want a pleasant holiday that caters for the kids and yourself then this is the place. Personally I cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: Block 3 is central.
