“Another great holiday in Caleta”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel in 12 months and I still think this hotel is fab. We came to spend our 1st wedding anniversary. And were very lucky to experience the heatwave, temperatures unusually in the 30's in April. In fact one day it was 38 by the pool and when we went down south it was 42!
The food was even better than before (I have never really had a problem with the food but I am not a fussy eater!). Its buffet so you can have as much or little as you want. The service was very good.
I can never really fault this hotel. My only 2 niggles were our room was directly opposite lift, therefore noisy early in morning and late at night. My other niggle was the entertainment, I think we were spoilt last year by the 3 reps Craig, Alice and Lucy who were brilliant. The reps this year were mediocre and the male rep did grate on me (that is just our personal opinion though). i just didn't find them very approachable but that might be in contrast with Craig, Lucy and Alice.

I like sunbathing on the roof as quieter up there and good place to catch the sun. There is a couple of pools on roof and couple of jacuzzis.

The location of this hotel is perfect, 10 minute drive from airport (so dont be ripped off by transfers as taxi will cost 12 euros each way). A 5 minute walk away you can see chipmunks and feed them (they love cucumber!). The harbour is about 10-15 minute walk away. I recommend going to the floating shop down there.
We always hire a car as they are cheap and we like making our own way around. If you do, go down south to Morro Jable, its stunning down there. Oasis Zoo is another must and you must see the sealion show there its amazing!
Overall I recommend this hotel, its good value for money, has excellent facilities and is in a ideal location.

Room Tip: We had room 3038 which was opposite lift, so I dont recommend that or 3039

My sister and I went here from 6th feb for a week. Unfortunately that week was freezing cold which is just one of these things but the hotel itself had nothing to do!! There were only a few seats in reception, no comfy sofas or chairs to sit and relax in. The bar at night was so full you couldn't get a seat. The food was ok just. On the few sunny days we did get the main pool was like being in a sardine tin, we didn't even bother trying as I walk with sticks and it would have been a nightmare trying to get in and out. All in all I think there are better places in caleta that are much more value for money.

this is our second stay here late April 2013, we are a couple 44 and 54, caleta de fuste is great and the costa caleta is in a great location . staff great, food great, rooms great, poll area great. as for entertainment we caught 2 local acts at the costa caleta and they where both really good, the entertainments team are all quite young but did ok on the nights entertainment was down to them. we never Sean one drunks, idiots, aggression nothing of that type at all. all in all a great family location and hotel. the food isn't the same as where you live, it's different, go with that its part of being in another country. the do things different, always something to eat, loads to choose from. we will be back as soon as we can.

Just returned from 7 wonderful nights in the Costa Caleta, please ignore the bad reviews from the moment we arrived the service was excelent, staff very helpfull, food was good plenty of choice at every sitting, and evrything replenished right up until the restaraunt closed, the drinks were very good with Amstel available in all the bars, snacks were available out of restaraunt opening hours and ranged from hot dogs to toasted sandwiches, the entertainment team were great and got all envolved in their shows, the only fault we found was the roof top terrace bar was not always open when it should have been.

To keep this short and sweet;
We travelled with Co-operative Travel and the hotel and staff were brilliant! Entertainment every night, a huge selection of things to do provided by the Reps, the hotel staff were absolutely fantastic after having a couple of chats with them on separate occasions I found that they always had time for you!
The wi-fi was expensive but always available so if you want it...pay for it!
Loved the location, just a short walk away from shops, bars, restaurants, the rocky coast and the beach. Walking around it all was a pleasure!
The beer on draught (all-inclusive) was delicious, I just can't remember what it was, so you always had a cool beer within reach!
Pool was nice, plenty of sun beds just a struggle to get one but what holiday is complete without the struggle for the sun beds in the morning!

The bar area and dining area was always clean, offered samples from time to time of new foods, and food was very varied! All meals were great with a large selection to pick from.

Room was cosy and had everything you needed, bathroom was tidy and towels were frequently changed.

we stayed here for 11 days and although its a 3 star plus the service was 5 star it is very very clean and the entertainment for the kids was excellant ,the pool area is really well designed , my one fault would be the food was repeated a lot but otherwise fantastic
the things i wished i had known before i arrived
bring your own towel u will be asked to leave a 10 euro deposit per towel.
you have to pay for the TV its not a lot but still 24 euros for the 11 days
you also have to pay for wifi
you dont need a transfer from the airport the travel companies charge 26 euros per person even kids but its a cost 15 euros in a taxi and takes 10 mins
you dont have a kettle in your room so if you like a tea in you r room bring a travel kettle
the hotel has a laundrette its excellant right but the pool side so u can do you laundry before you come home while sunbathing i washed and dried everything { there was a lot family of 4 } it cost 10 euros well worth it .so bring washing powder
there is a gym and tennis court all indoors so if u like that sort of thing bring trainers etc.
there is a chipmunk walk for the kids its free and takes about 2 hours it was amazing the kids loved it they go twice a week

Room Tip: there are pool side rooms or rooms that look out to other building s so try and get a pool side room...

We have recently had a 10 day holiday at this hotel - food was really good, rooms clean and fresh and it was a central hotel with lovely walks around the costal path to the beach (quicker if you walked through the streets). 15 minutes from the Airport which is great and not really any problem with aircraft. Taking our granddaughter there in January for a week - cannot wait to go back. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. We thank them all for a great holiday.

Room Tip: pool rooms were nice but those overlooking the road got the sunshine
