We decided to change our location from Ibiza to Fuerteventura and it was the best change of all.
The staff were all first class and very helpful. Also being apartment hotel we found this was much better as we had lots more room and able to make tea each morning which we all enjoy.
As this hotel was not a really large one we found it just what we needed for a real family holiday.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asked about one of the best places to stay.

Room Tip: if you are looking for a full all inclusive hotel then this is the best one by a long way

We stayed here for two weeks all inclusive, it's okay but is most definitely 3 star and no more.
Food - the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner is very repetitive. It's all edible but very basic and very far removed from eating at a restaurant. Every lunch and dinner offers beef, pork, chicken or fish with the same salad, potatoes or chips which is fine but a little wearing if visiting for a fortnight... they have olives, bread and oil at every sitting which is lovely but a real shame you can't take it outside for a nice alfresco experience.
Rooms - the rooms are small, we travelled as a family of 3 and our three year old slept on a bead seatee right next to us... we have never stayed anywhere where we are all in the same room so it felt a little cramped. We ended up going to bed by about 10-10.30 when our little man was ready for bed because the only alternative was to buy and drink warm drinks from the local store (no fridge in room) or keep trekking back and forth to the bar for our allowance of two small drinks at a time.
All inclusive - this has clearly been abused by people in the past so there are some very strict rules in place. Drinks are in small plastic cups (think water machine at work...) and you can of purchase two at a time, this sounds fine but I personally found drinking wine from a beaker less than enjoyable... and if you imagine four beakers of beer equals a pint it becomes quite labour intensive to enjoy even a couple of drinks!
The snack bar is pretty poor (hot dogs, burgers or pizza) but you can help yourself to drinks which would be better on an evening.
Facilities - there are three pools; a small baby pool, a slightly larger pool which is great for older kids and a larger pool which is the noisy one.. fine if you like to be involved in aqua aerobics, volleyball and suchlike but not really our cup of tea!
One huge drawback is the hotels lack of observance over sunbed reserval... at 7.30 each morning there is a queue of the same faces to grab their favourite sun bed. They reserve this with their towel and then go about their day, sometimes not returning until 3pm (I suspect after a day at the beach!) The notices say that the lifeguard will remove towels after 30 minutes but this never happened during our stay. I'm sad to say I resorted to such nonsense after a few days as our toddler loved the pool and we were sick of having to sit on a chair in the shade to watch him play with his new friends.
Cleanliness - the maid service is fine, pretty standard as they just make the beds, sweep and mop the floor. I actually removed the bedding and put it at the end of each bed after a week because I suspected that it hadn't been changed, but other than that had no issue with cleanliness. The pool area was maintained well and the lifeguard was pretty attentive which was reassuring.
We decided to do some washing in the laundry one day and were charged €10 for one wash token and one dry token... extertionate given it it does one wash but a necessity given out 15kg luggage allowance with Ryanair!
Guests - the guests were probably the best thing about this hotel, we met some lovely friendly people and there were lots of kids for our little one to make friends with. There was an annoying woman who wore a plastic crown and called herself the countess (which apparently allows her to be rude and push in...), but other than that I couldn't complain :)
Overall - this hotel is 'okay' 'average' 'fine'... if you have worked hard all year and want to treat yourself to a nice holiday do yourself a favour and pay a few hundred quid more to stay in a 4* which would make all the difference. If you are after a cheap and cheerful break from the mundane reality then this place is fine. Would I come back? 'no', but I don't regret coming. My only regret is that we didn't stump up a few extra quid to go 4* like we usually do!

Me and my partner stayed here for 7 nights all inclusive, as a last minute deal. We arrived at 11pm and were greeted by friendly staff who checked us in and told us that there was a buffet in the restaurant, should we want anything to eat and drink - which I thought was a nice touch. The room was clean and functional, although the beds were a bit uncomfortable and the bedding didn't stay on the bed very well - but this wasn't a big issue. I think the room had air con but we couldn't figure out how to work it, although this didn't matter so much as the heat wasn't intolerable. The hotel was always very clean and the staff polite. We were never dissapointed with the choice or quality of the food and they seemed to cater to everyone serving a good range of food including fresh salads and fruit, a variety of meat and fish dishes, various puddings and chips etc. so I really don't understand what other people were moaning about! We never bothered to get up to claim sunbeds in the morning as we prefered the quieter roof terrace, where we could mostly find sunbeds if we wanted them. As we didn't really stay around the main pool or bar area we managed to avoid any entertainment, as it's not really our thing, and were impressed with this as on previous holidays it has been kind of forced on you - but the brief times we saw the entertainment team they seemed like nice enough people! The hotel is well located with pretty much everything you could need close by; only a short walk to the beach and plenty of bars/restaurants/shops close by if you need them. We had a great holiday and would recommend this hotel if you want a good value holiday in the sun.

We arrived at the Costa Caleta not sure what to expect but with an open mind. We checked in without a problem the receptionist was courteous and polite, we were allocated two rooms as we had traveled as a family of five (three teenage boys) which were next door but not adjoining.
The rooms were large and comfortable with air conditioning the only problem was a loose door handle this was quickly repaired. The bathroom was fine, lovely and clean.

The food was of a reasonable standard, fresh bread, salads, rice dishes in fact there was lots of choice. My tip, be adventurous try things and spend some time looking around the counters some of the dishes don't look too appetizing but are really tasty. we never went hungry and did not need to eat out at all.

The pool area has two pools the larger one is not heated but is ok.

I have read some reviews which say that you have to get up early to get a sunbed this is not true the attendant does not unlock them until 8AM! We were there for two weeks and there was always sunbeds on the stacks all day all you need to do is ask other guests to give you space to put them down!
There is a rule which says the lifeguard will remove towels if left unattended for more than 30 minutes however this will only be done when there are no beds left. We did see him remove an unused umbrella and give it to someone else.

The entertainment team were great, poolside and on an evening the effort they put in is outstanding.

We didn't use the roof terrace we were told that the kids can use it so long as the act like adults! It would have been far too boring for us as we enjoyed the fun around the pool.

The bar service was good the staff friendly if you stick to the queuing system and the two drinks rule they will not be happy otherwise. The free bar closes at 11PM and remains open until midnight if you wish to pay. It will close at midnight to reduce noise for guests staying above but the resort centre is only minutes away if you want to drink later than this.

There are areas of the resort were development began and has now stopped, this includes an adjacent complex but this is a sign of the austere times the Spanish economy finds itself in not nice to look at if your balcony overlooks it but looking on the plus side it won't be noisy.

All in all the hotel is a fairly rated three star plus and you will have a great time if you have the right attitude. We would return and recommend it to friends who we know will have the same positive attitude as us.

We booked this as a last minute break to the sun...
Having read the reviews - we like many others were a bit unsure on what to expect...
However, we had no real need to worry - we arrived at 1pm and were given our room straight away and asked if we would like to go straight to lunch...
ROOM - was clean and functional and had Air Con, Cleaned on a regular basis - we could not see what cause anyone could have for comlaint (other than one of the beds was uncomfy)...
POOL - and the pool area are fine and YES you do have to be down for about 7:50am if you want to guarantee a certain spot by the pool (But where else is different nowadays) - there were often sundbeds available during the day and the Roof Top terrace always seemed to have free beds...
DRINKS - as per norm with most all inclusive packages - local beer and spirits served (on the weak side) but guess you dont go on holiday to get bladdered but just to enjoy a refreshing drink with friends and family - we also found bar staff both polite and friendly
FOOD - dont know what some people complaining about - THIS IS SPAIN - this is what they serve - all meals offered a wide variety of meats, salads and veg - OK this is not 5 STAR Quisine but it was clean and tasty and plentiful - If you want 5 STAR then go and pay 5 Star prices (but you wont get that much more for the difference you have paid)...
ENTERTAINMENT - was provided mainly by the Thomas Cook trio who made a point of making everyone feel included and worked their socks off every day to keep you entertained - WELL DONE - in addition the Hotel laid on a couple of local acts whilst we were there and these were very good...
LOCATION - is a short walk to most attractions in the town...Main beach just 6min walk whilst 2 better beaches about 15 mins walk away...Other attractions incl Cool Runnings Trike Tours (excellent give this a go) - bus services to Zoo and Water Park - and easy access to both Cart and Motor Bike Hire - Plenty of local eatreries and bars well within easy reach (if you fancy a chage)
ALL IN ALL - we had a good time and enjoyed our stay at Costa Caleta - it provided good value for money (if i could change one thing it would have been the bed - but then again we didnt ask!!)..Would we stay here again - Yes I think we would - Just remeber this is Spanish 3 Star and not British 5 Star..
Hope this helps

My partner and I stayed here for a week all inclusive. We did think the hotel was a four star as the site we booked it off advertised this. However once arriving we found out it was a 3 star. This has totally put us off ever staying in a 3 star hotel ever again. As soon as we arrived the receptionist gave us our key to our room and did not show us to it witch I found very rude. Our room was clean and tidy but everything seemed so cheap.
The beds were uncomfortable and I woke up cold every night so could of done with a bit more bedding. Our beds kept coming apart. Exactly what you want when you have gone away as a couple for a romantic time! The entertainment was way too loud in the day and at night not much better. One of the female singers carnt even sing and sounds like a cat. The food was not very nice. Even the cereal was really cheap. Sometimes we did not even know what we was eating so most the time just stuck to the bread and the salad. The drink was ok. But did not like the fact that there was no drinking facilites in our hotel room so if we woke up in the night there was nothing we could drink or first thing in the morning to wake you up. The coffee machine was really nice coffee in the morning at breakfast but they covered them machines up through the day do the rest of the time it was just cheap. In the morning people would put towels on the sunbeds even though there is a big sign saying this is not aloud. The roof top jaquizies where freezing cold. Overall I would not recommend to friends. We enjoyed ourselves when we was not in the hotel and the area is a really nice little resort and eating out is really nice and not too expensive

The location of this hotel is great, it's near to the beach and the shops! The photos of the pool area are very deceiving, it gives you the impression that there are massive pools and lots of space. The reality is that unless you're prepared to get up at 6am each morning, you won't get a sunbed! The daily entertainment team were loud, brash and in all honesty annoying! They played really really loud music continually and loved the sounds of their own voices. Not relaxing at all! Luckily there is a roof terrace where we escaped to! The roof terrace is a great asset to the hotel! The food was fine, and staff were helpful. Apart from the entertainment team and issues of the sunbeds I would reccommend this hotel.
