Fuerteventura Beach Club
Ranked #15 of 23 Hotels in Caleta de Fuste
Reviewed October 15, 2012

we have recently got back from a very enjoyable holiday in caleta de fusta ( Fuerteventura )
we stayed self catering at Fuerteventura Beach Club and we found the staff at reception very friendly and helpful. The room that we were given was in a ideal place by pool it was a large room
ideal for the two of us but it had parts of the room that needed replacing not tarting up i.e broken wall tile-loose floor tiles-burnt shelf above cooker. Apart from these things we could not fault the place and can say that the hotel and staff played part in a very good holiday and we would go back again.

Room Tip: i think the self-catering rooms are in need of a touch up but still well worth the money but if you...

having read all the reports its fair to say I was not quite sure what to expect, we stayed in apart 54 near quiet pool, if you want very basic accom then this is ok, you could'nt cook as there was only a 2 ring cooker top, kettle and toaster, very dated and everything looked like it had never been changed since it was built, the room was clean and sheets changed mid week, the reception staff are very friendly and sorted a couple of problems very quickly (loose wire and 1 loose socket) you get what you pay for and it was absolutley fine for us, it would be different if you had young children though as nothing to do for them. we hired a car so it was only a place to stay on a night, would go again but perhaps pay that bit more for one of the better rooms, hire a fan though from reception as helps with the nights, the pool is not heated but pleasant enough when its hot outside and they were cleaned regularly

Room Tip: close to airport so be prepared to listen to the planes every 10 minutes coming into land, close to...

After reading reviews about this complex I was really apprehensive about going. I must say all my fears were unfounded as it was lovely. We had room 38 which was right next to the quiet pool. This pool was good if you wanted a peaceful swim and sunbathe but we preffered the busier one with the elite bar. All pools were spotlessly clean. Yes there was a bit of rust on our fridge and the sofa was a bit saggy but the matresses were brand new, sheets lovely and white and maid came in once during the week to change everything. For the price we paid we thought it was excellent value for money and would definitely go back again. The restaurants were all reasonably priced and would recommend the Aberdeen Steak House for their 3 course meal at just under 9 euros a head. It was a lovely meal. Also must say the buses are very cheap at just 1 euro 30 to the airport and 1.40 to the next resort of Rossario. Would certainly not pay airport transfers next time.

Room Tip: rooms near the pools are best

after reading some of the reviews for these apartments i was starting to think i was going to faulty towers. when we got there we were pleasantly surprised yea sure the door could do with a lick of paint on the outside but the inside of the place was grand. lets face it with the price of the holiday i wasnt expecting a lavish it was simple and everything worked. We we in apartment 13 which is just behind the elite bar, i dont understand other reviews about the bar but i found all the staff to be friendly and help full, they host bingo and table quiz which were great fun. happy hour from 1to5 and who can complain about that. the music and entertainment in the Zanzibar is terrible. eat in the restaurant under it one night food was good no complaints. if your going to this resort you must go to a restaurant called nestors food, service, price and staff are all amazing.
so we had a great time if your in the elite bar tell them 10shots sent ya

Room Tip: get on close to the elite bar

Stayed here with wife and two kids last two weeks in August. Were allocated room 68 first impression what a dump!! bed settee ready for the tip, kitchen old fashioned with a grotty old rusty fridge but there was better to come. On unlocking the rear patio doors we discovered that the previous evening somebody had attempted to burgle the apartment by forcing a screwdriver into the frame damaging the frame and at some point slipped and cut themselves which had left a puddle of blood on the floor. The damage was reported to reception and the maintainance man attended and informed us that a new frame was needed then the manager arrived. He totally denied that it was a burglary and informed us that it wasnt blood and was infact red paint lol!! We asked for a change of room and were informed if we did move it would be to one of a WORSE standard at which point we pointed out there were plenty of refurbished apartments standing empty. We were told they were reserved for timeshare swop holidaymakers and we noticed any Spanish holidaymakers and he could not allocate these apartments. The new door frame turned into a small metal plate covering the screwdiver damage and the so called paint was mopped up by the cleaner clearly showing it was in fact blood!! Also after denying they had a problem with burglaries the manager did admit the apartments facing the road did suffer from break-ins as the security guard couldnt cover this area so beware if you get one of these.
We decided to stay but they would of found it difficult to find an apartment worse than this dump so i slept on the disgusting, damaged flea bitten sofa bed ( stunk of sweat) by the patio window just so the wife and kids felt safe at night.
Over the next few days we watched all the refurbished apartments being let to timeshare and spaniards where nothing was to much to trouble whilst all the Brit cattle were given a key to there very own dilapidated dumps. Every time we walked into Reception there was always an internet booking complaining about their accom being given the brush off too full etc.. and at one point the girl was giving out the refurbs to timeshare and Spaniards whilst virtually ignoring the poor sod complaining. The Resort itself we really enjoyed but this accomodation is the pitts, if you book over the net dont say i didnt warn you if you get allocated your very own dump.

Room Tip: If you cant get a refurbished apartment DONT GO!!!
