“Value for very little money”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

This was our second time at this hotel so we knew what we were getting, we went self catering as we like to eat out and some good and cheap places to eat.
We did not agree with some of the bad comments about Tony the entertainer as he gave 100% and yes he did have a towel to wipe his sweat but what would you expect in those temperatures running round.
Yes the hotel is a little dated but rooms were always clean, we only used our room to sleep as we were always out, with 3 young girls they always found something to do with the beach or pool being more than enough during the day.
Staff were always happy to help and Freddie the barman is a top bloke.

We would use this hotel again.

We were a party of 12 and had 5 rooms all of which were a little dated but are clean and the maids do a brilliant job.
We had to queue 4 the sunbeds which was a pain and you can guarantee you end up With a faulty one. The food was ok, always hot with at least 3 meat dishes one of which is fish, our teenagers didn't like the food at all but that's teenagers for you. They were regulars across the road at the Chinese which did 2 courses for 6 euros. I would also like to recommend Frado Rock the leg of lamb was huge! Also Aberdeen steak house is worth the money.

Tony the entertainer did a fantastic job and my 2 youngest loved the mini disco.
The pool was a little to cramped for my lively 2 year old who needs to run everywhere and how he didn't do himself some serious damage I don't know the floor is very slippy but the beach is only 10 mins away and we loved it down there!
Overall it wasn't a bad hotel and the drinks were strong and not watered down so a few wobbly moments we had a great holiday

We have just come back from our Holiday here, let me just state we LOVED Fuerteventura, but this Hotel has got to be the WORST hotel EVER, Childrens Entertainer was the EXACT same thing EVERY night (we stayed for 10 Days) so you kinda get a little fed up of hearing snappy, snappy snap Grrrrr (my Husband is STILL singing it), Our room was literally falling apart, blood on the blankets and poo on the bathroom door when we first arrived, I complained and was simply told, "what do you want me to do" so we ended up cleaning it ourselves, there is NO Air Conditioning, No Fans, nothing really to cool you down (just the cold pool), we requested a Ground Floor, Pool Side Room when Booking and we got a 1st Floor Front Room, which was VERY Loud until about 5am, and we couldn't close the windows as it was too HOT, so having windows and doors open was the only way of keeping cool, the FOOD: one word AWFUL, same thing EVERY time more or less and I suffered with a bad tummy everytime we ate here, We had to Pay for The Tennis Courts AND the Childrens Park and The All Inclusive Bar, well, It's All Inclusive till 11pm then you have to pay for your drinks till the bar Closes at 12am, we spent most of our time away from the Hotel and just went back there to sleep really, however this didn't stop us from enjoying our holiday, and we will return But we DEFINATELY will NOT be stopping here again, people say "you get what you pay for" well, I'm sorry I have to disagree, I have paid less then this before and Got so much Better, If this Hotel was in Birmingham It would be SHUT DOWN

Room Tip: Pool Side is quieter ( after about 12.30am)

You do get what you pay. That being said you can't get in to your room till 2pm if your all inclusive it starts from the time you book in. Have been place's before where there was no one to book you in so lesson learned swim wear packed in hand luggage, so you can enjoy the sun while you wait. Our room was on par with other accomodation that we have stayed in and had no complaints you don't go on holiday to stay in room all day. The cleaners were in everyday apart from Sunday towels changed every two day's and bedding changed 3 times in the 14 days we were there, so no complaints. Kitchen light went out and once reported was replaced on the same day, (don't know what other people are talking about).

The food was good yes the selection is very small compared to other places we have stayed but for the size it suited as there was a very quick turn around in replenising what had run out. I am a fussy eater and I found something to eat. if traveling with kids brown sauce provided in the morning so buy you your own sauce. the best meal of the day was breakfast yes you have to que for the toaster and the coffee machine but you have to do that most places.

Ah the sunbeds if you want a sun bed you have to be up early, not as early as some have said, if you go out about 8.30 you will be sure to get one, Saturday morning a bit later as they power was the area round the pool did this everyday, yes it was a pain but it was also a nice way to meet other people you might not have talked to other wise. please remember that the pool area only holds 87 beds, so you do have to be quick. I have to agree that they need to start a towel removal policy as beds could sit empty till 3.

The bar staff are brilliant very hard working some there all day, during meal times only one person serving at bar as others are in the dinning area cleaning.

The entertainer is in a class of his own, no he didn't smell, he changed oufits a few times a day, He is not a life guard as some have said, he and entertainer and very good at his job. where he get's his energy from I don't know. Tony had time for everyone.

would I stay again yes. I have been to other places with a higher rating where the kids didn't get snacks through the day and were ice-cream was available only at meal times. So I can say it was worth the money we paid YES

Room Tip: If possible get a room at the back of the hotel or to the east side less noise for the pubs and club...

We didn't spend a huge amount of money and so didn't grumble about all the little things.
Be aware you cannot check in until 2pm - we arrived at 11am and didn't know this.
The reception won't help if you have an issue either we had 2 light bulbs run out in our room and they were not very helpful!
The rooms were fine - lots of issues with the shower temperature but this seemed to affect all residents staying not just us - scalding hot then cold!
there are only a few sunbeds so if you are not there early by 8,30 you will not be getting one for the whole day!
Cleaners were good every other day we had clean sheets and towels.
Location is very good.
Worryingly we saw a lad break his nose falling over on the pool side and there was no first aided or life guard so we felt very sorry for the family as very little help on hand.
We stayed at tahona gardens over the road last year for cheaper which we found to be a bit nicer but there's not much in it, probably wouldn't stay again but enjoyed our time at the hotel nethertheless.

I have stayed at these apartments several years in a row and they have always been basic and clean but 2012 was just a joke!! New management and you had to pay for everything which are basics in self catering accommodation!! We had booked under the old management and was not told about these changes which we had not budgeted for. Hire a kettle, toaster and a fan which were all basic in the rooms previously before. Tv don't bother with waste of money but we don't go away to watch the tv. The toilet wasn't even attached to the ground so unsafe but reception told us we still has to stay there as they were not changing our rooms. Reception staff so unhelpful it's unreal, cheeky and just shouldn't be doing the job. Cleaning staff brilliant as usual and do their best to keep the hotel which is falling down around them perfectly clean. Wouldn't even say its ok just for a place to go to sleep on holiday now, beasties everywhere.
