We stayed here from 3rd April - 10th April 2013. We booked a 2 bed apartment as we have 2 teenagers aged 16 and 15 and got 2 1 bedroom apartments with an interconnecting door which was great as it meant we had 2 of everything, 2 bathrooms was very handy!!!

We stayed all inclusive which we found was very good, good choice for breakfast including omlettes cooked to order. Dinner was also very good, plenty of choice even for the fussiest of eaters. All of the drinks are served in plastic or paper cups even in th evenings, unless you go to the tavern (which opens at 9pm) where drinks are served in glasses, the all inclusive does stop at 11pm, but the tavern serves till midnight but you then have to pay.

The entertainment team work really hard all day long with only 1 day off a week. We were however a bit disappointed that there was nothing really for 2 teenagers to join in with, the daytime activities are aimed at the younger ones, families with kids from 5 - 12 year olds will love the activities. I ended up having to pay for the wifi for a week to keep my 15 year old happy which cost me 25 euros.

Us a family would probably not go back to this hotel purely because of the lack of entertainment for teenagers, but would recommend for families with younger children. Overall we had a relaxing break with some lovely warm sunshine which is what we went for.

We just got back on Saturday night having spent a week at the Broncemar Beach hotel. Having read reviews after we booked I wasn't 100% sure what to expect as some reviews were very negative. However, I'm pleased to report it was a superb holiday.
Yes the hotel is a little dated but nothing at all that detracts from the quality. The apartments are spacious and we were on the top floor so had our own private terrace which was great.

The food was good and there was a good variety - always something on the grill, some carvery, pasta, chips and something different each night too. The cakes were especially good! If you don't like pork, beware as sometimes the grilled meat was listed as chicken but was in fact pork - no problem for us though.

The hotel has two pools - a heated "family" pool and an un-heated pool which was a bit quieter which we spent most of of time at. Although the water wasn't warm, the cool was a welcome break from the heat of the sun!

The hotel was very clean and our room was cleaned on all but two days, as advertised. The entertainment team was good too. There were some reviews about broken tiles etc but we didn't see anything worth complaining about.

The staff were very welcoming and worked hard - the restaurant team never seem to sleep!

The resort was superb too - not too busy but plenty going on and we spent a lovely day on the beach.

Kelly, the Thomas Cook rep was friendly and helpful too and gave us good information on the excursion we went on.

I would certainly go back. No the hotel isn't the absolute best quality but for a 3* it was superb.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room and a balcony - we got both and a terrace.

Just got back yesterday, 13/4/13.
Apartment was ideally located, our room was very spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the pools. Complex was just a five minute walk to the beach.
We went all inclusive, and found that there was always plenty of choice and even the fussiest eater could find something to eat.
All the hotel staff were helpful and friendly, from reception to cleaners and bar/waiting staff.
Kelly, the Thomas Cook rep was on hand to help if we needed anything, and was very knowledgeable about the island.
The entertainment team Jez, Sam and Steph were fantastic. We didnt participate in the daytime activities as our 5 year old preferred the beach, but they were on the go all day keeping the children happy. The splashdance disco every evening was great for our son, who at first didnt want to join in, but by the second night he was up with everyone else, and is still singing the songs now. The team make every child feel special and make an effort to learn all the names.

My only complaints are that the toilets in the entertainment area need some updating as they are tired and quite often didnt flush. And the spirits/cocktails for all inclusive were served in coca-cola cups, and several times my son went to drink from the wrong cup.

Anyone who didnt enjoy this resort is clearly more interested in photographing a broken tile, or an insect instead of the joy on their kids faces!
We are already planning our return trip!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony rather than a terrace, Less passing people so quieter

Returned home on the 10th April after spending 11 nights HB. We had a very nice large 2 bed apartment with 2 balconies. Cleaned and Towels changed everyday, except Tuesdays, and sheets changed twice.

The food was very good with lots of choices. Breakfast was the best with lots of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, yogurts, made to order omelettes and everything you need for a full English! Dinner was nice with lots of fresh salad, cooked to order meat and fish, pasta and Lots of other choices.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was great. The only negative would be that the pool we sat around was like ice water. it is such a shame, as it looks very inviting, but is just to cold. We would defiantly return. Xx

Room Tip: All 2 bed apartments are upstairs.

A good hotel, clean, good pool area staff work hard to keep it spotless. Food true to 3 star standard, fresh good choice but not outstanding. Rooms very clean indeed, lovely family atmosphere. Animation team great for 5-13 year olds who love the heated in winter pool. Staff very warm and welcoming. No hairdryer in room. Pay TV has British channels 1 euro per hour. You can up-grade from Bed and Breakfast to all inclusive when you are there and it is good value. All round you cannot go wrong with this near the beach hotel as long as you know what to expect from 3 star accommodation. No need for air con except in very warm weather because the breeze is very cooling at night. Some rooms do offer air con but we were in a lovely naturally cool apartment.

Room Tip: pools are best feature as it there is one heated and one for serious swimmers

Stayed here on self catering basis 3 - 10 April. Location was great close to all resort amenities. We ate out for every meal, some lovely restaurants and bars in the resort and a fantastic promenade along the seafront. However our room was very dated and although large and spacious it had a broken floor tile going out to the balcony, dust and stains on the walls, and rust in the bath(most of the enamel had worn away). I can't comment on the food but we had a drink in the tavern one evening and everywhere I looked I could see piles of dust, and many of the chairs, tables and bar areas seemed to be void of any varnish as it had all worn off, it all seemed just tired and dated.

Despite the accommodation we enjoyed our holiday overall and met many people who had been holidaying in costa caleta for years. We would return to the resort but wouldn t return to the Broncemar.

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms seemed to have private balconies, whilst ground floor rooms seemed to have open sh...

Stayed here on a half board basis 6th -18 March. Transfer took less than 15 min . We asked for a quiet room and got it . Plenty of choice of food served buffet style. Having space in accomadation makes such a difference . Staff very helpful at all times . Kelly our rep does a great job . We asked for extra pillows and they were delivered soon after .Kelly has a swap box where you can leave stuff at the end of your hoilday which is a great idear. We also went to reception as a couple of lights had gone and i had only just walked back to our room when the man knocked at our door with new ones . We will be returning later this year . Only moan is we spent a lot on television . It has a slot to pay . Going outside it such a releif not to be hounded by people trying to sell us time share. There is none of that . We look forward to our return trip . Although it does not have a gym we ran every day round the outside of the hotel or by the beach , lovely .

Room Tip: If you want to be away from noise just ask as they will do their best for you .
