Just back from 5 days at Broncemar and would like to try and give a balanced view of our visit. We were in a one bed apartment all inclusive basis. Apartment fine - pool view but not very private in terms of the balcony which for us was fine as we never sat out on it anyway. Apartment was clean and spacious. It was our anniversary whilst there and we had a nice bottle of wine left in the room for us . Hotel reception staff are helpful. Pool area was always clean and tidy and we always got a sunbed although because of the wind you often had to move around throughout the course of the day. Bar is cosy and has a nice friendly feel with karaoke on offer everynight... pity that there wasn't just music or quizzes on offer as well but was okay.
Now to the bad -the food was awful.... we are not fussy eaters and always go all inclusive and always find something but on this occasion we ate out at night and made do with eating ice cream and snacks (which were also not good).... definately not recommend to eat but on the whole a nice hotel. Entertainment team were loud and if bingo is your thing then you will enjoy it. Poolside toilets were clean but often didn't flush the doors didnt close/lock and were pretty dismal. Suppose you get what you pay for so overall ok but don't think I would rush back.

My wife and I stayed at the Broncemar Apartments (self-catering) for a few days in February to celebrate my birthday.

Check-in (24-hour reception) was fast and painless and we were issued with one cardkey for room 347 (a room away from the pool, as we had requested). The apartment was spacious and in good condition. The lounge/dining area was nicely furnished with a good quality sofa/bed, table and chairs and TV (coin-operated). The kitchenette looked like it had been recently touched up and was clean and tidy (with fridge (freezer had no door), 2 ring hob, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and a selection of pans, dishes and cutlery, but no tea towels. The bedroom had two (comfortable) single beds, a large mirrored wardrobe, drawer/shelf space and bedside cabinets. The safe required a payable code obtainable from reception. The bathroom had a bath/shower combination (good pressure with plenty of (very) hot water) a sink/vanity unit, toilet (good flush) and large mirror. Towels (bath and hand sizes were changed daily.) Facecloths and bathmat were not provided. There was a large private terrace leading from the lounge which we used for breakfasts and a small terrace from the bedroom. A large washing/drying rack was provided for use.

The complex had 3 swimming pools (2 adult and 1 for children), with plenty of sunbeds. There were various children's entertainments including a playground and table tennis. Self-service washing machines were available and internet was accessible from computers in the lobby.

A small supermarket and large Irish Bar (reasonably priced but serving watered-down wine and juices!) were on-site.

We were very happy with the location of the complex. A bus from the airport cost 1.20 euros and the bus-stop was only a few minutes walk from the apartments. The nearest (HyperDino) supermarket was less than 5 mins walk away (5 litres water cost 1 euro, 1 litre milk cost 55cents). A lovely sandy beach was less than 10 mins walk away. There were a selection of eateries in the vicinity of which we favoured Nestors (next to Caleta Gdns) and Margaritas (on the edge of the HyperDino shopping complex), both of which offered good food and friendly service. A number of restaurants offered a 3 course menu for under 10 euros. There were a number of bars in the area (those offering entertainment tending to charge no entry fee but more for drinks) some of which offered happy hours (at different times during the day or evening).

Overall we were very pleased with the hotal and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Room Tip: Email the hotel prior to your arrival to get an apartment where you want.

Just got back and thought it was worth sharing what a great week we just had. The food was fine and acomodation perfect for a weeks cost effective price in the sunshine. It is not 5 syar luxary but it is 3/4 star fun and food and entertaintainment.
The reps worked hard to keep the young ones entertained and the bingo went up to over 600 Euros last week due to their hard work. All in all an exellent week with no problems but do not forget your cardies for on a night it still gets chilly.

Room Tip: Cold on a night ask for extra blankets.

Just returned from one week AI restful winter break at Broncemar Beach. Booked for a bargain price through Monarch Holidays. The hotel isn't 5* but you're not paying 5* prices and they say they are 3*. Maybe the hotel could do with a bit of a revamp but otherwise OK. Rooms were clean, no bugs found in the entire complex the whole week, the buffet style meals were hot with plenty of both variety for both kids and adults, if maybe a little bland but most AI are as they don't want to offend anyone with spice!! The beer was good, the local spirits adequate and came in large measures but you could only get a glass in the Tavern bar. The Entertainment crew were excellent with kids and adults and tried to keep all involved but didn't impose.

Would go back for a cheap and cheerful winter break!!!

Room Tip: Do not pay for holiday company transfer - plenty of high quality taxis at airport for approx 12 euro...

we just had two weeks, all inclusive and thought it was fab. The food was varied and plenty of it. there is always some junk food in abundance so it was impossible to get my two kids to eat any of the nice food on offer so they lived on chicken nuggets and white bread rolls but my husband and I ate really well and thought the choice was great. Make no mistake this is not a gourmet restaurant, 'more like your local all you can eat chinese' but lots of fresh salad and loads of choice.
The apartment was basic but large enough for 4 of us and the maids cleaned every day and changed the towels and bedding a few times in the two weeks.
The entertainment was not up our street as my kids are not into that kind of stuff but all the other kids were loving it.
and as my husband and I are self confessed snobs we were surprised to find ourselves joining in the quiz and the bingo!!
Not a five star venue but the staff work their socks off and absolute great value for money.

Room Tip: the upstairs aparts are better but only sleep three
