“fabulous family holiday”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Everything was as described in the brochure in this hotel. On arrival we were checked in very quickly (contrary to what we expected based on other reviews). I was a bit concerned when our rooms were in block 1 as a few reviews said these rooms were noisy, but although we faced out onto a fairly busy street with a few bars very close by, we never had any noise at all through the night.
The pool areas are quite busy and sunbeds are reserved from very early in the morning, but we were always able to get sunbeds for ourselves and our children. The lifeguard does a good job, ensuring large inflatables are not allowed into the pool as these do cause a nuisance. He also stops people taking food from the poolside snack bar to the pool area which most people appreciate as there is no need for the mess which would result otherwise.
We had two rooms which were kept spotlessly clean every day. They had plenty room, with 3 staying in one room and 2 in the other but could have done with a bit more drawer space. There were some signs of wear and tear in the rooms but nothing major.
The food is the only area where I think there is a fair bit of room for improvement. The quality of the food is good and at each meal time there is a good range, however there is very little change in the range from day to day and as we were there for 2 weeks it became quite monotonous. In hindsight it may have been better to go half board rather than all inclusive as there is some flexibility with the half board package. The snack bar food (buffet) is fine but usually not that warm although you can order snack bar food from the bar but this is extra. The restaurant does insist on long trousers for men in the evening and sleeved t-shirts at lunchtime and no beachwear (including wraparound sarongs) for ladies at lunchtime. This is a nice change from the hotels which say it is a rule then allow people in wearing whatever they like.
The area where this hotel excels is the entertainment, both the daytime activities which are well organised but not in your face and also the night time shows which are very good (Billy is a real jewel in their crown). There is a well laid out theatre area for the evening shows although it does get very warm and the waiter service can be a bit hit or miss. With all inclusive finishing at 11pm just after the shows finished, the majority of people head back to their rooms so there was no drinking till you drop which is often a downside of all inclusive hotels.
All in all this was a great holiday as it ticked all the boxes for our family and I would definitely go back.

Stayed here from the 10th-20th July, after reading the reviews before we came we were slightly anxious as to what to expect. Check in took us 5 minutes and our rooms were ready as soon as we checked in. We stayed in block 1 room 1144 I must say we was slightly disappointed with our view which was a small garden area which backed onto the bars outside the hotel, alot of people have said block 1 was very noisy however we kept our balcony doors closed on a night and just kept the air conditioning on whilst we slept and really couldn't hear that much noise from the bars.

Our room was very clean and tidy, lovely clean bathroom and a separate area with sink very big to get ready In, the beds were very comfy and there was also a kettle and cups (no tea or coffee however there is a supermarket just around the corner which was very cheap and had a wide selection of English products)

Pool area was lovely the pools are cold but why would you want a warm pool when its 30 degrees+ the only downside to the pool area was the fact people got up at the crack of dawn to put their towels out and would then go back to bed, all this despite signs saying reservation of sunbeds not allowed.

Food: breakfast lunch and dinner was all lovely, different dishes most nights and there was also a separate children's section, the desserts were lovely and the chocolate fountain was a big hit. My only grumble was the fact you could not self serve your drinks at lunch and dinner and if the restaurant was busy you would wait a while for a waitor to come over to serve you.

Beach: very nice and clean, with a beach bar (drinks have to be paid for even if all inclusive) also you have to pay for your beach beds and even if you don't use the umbrella you still have to pay for it :( it was €3 each for a bed and €3 for the umbrella so €9 a day to lay at the beach, most people just laid on towels. Also its very rocky in the sea and not nice on bare feet.

All inclusive: I was disappointed that we couldn't get free bottled water to use back at our room this is the first all inclusive hotel ive known not provide bottled water. Also €35 for a room safe!!!! Absolute joke.... €5 euro back at the end of your holiday, all inclusive ended at 11pm but you could PAY for drinks up until 12pm there were also alot of drinks on the menu but mainly chargeable even for all inclusive, you had to drink your drink in the area you got it from and couldn't take anything back to your rooms (thank god for the supermarket) personally we did not benefit at all from all inclusive.

Overall the hotel was very clean and kept to a very high standard we enjoyed our stay and found most of the staff to be very friendly, food very nice and the hotel in a great location with shops bars etc.. although I paid for an all inclusive holiday at times did felt the hotel was big at money grabbing would we ho back to this hotel again? Yes but only as half board.

We stayed as a couple from 29th June to 13th July all inclusive. Arrived at around 21:20. Check in took about 15 minutes no problems whatsoever. Room 2218 was excellent overlooking the pool and the Aloe Bar! Food was great but got a bit samey after the first week and I must admit was missing our own cooking! Lots of veal which I won't eat on principle and the food seemed to be a bit mass catering but probably great for kids. The breakfast was fantastic every morning and would probably go Bed & Breakfast next time. Always room around the pool and the entertainment was great, especially the bingo bingo guys who got a good laugh from most people! You need to visit the spa which was a one minute off site and worth every penny. All in all a spotless hotel and a great family place, would stay somewhere a bit quiet next time but enjoyed the holiday!

Room Tip: Block two or three second or third floor if you want piece and quiet. Visit the spa!!!

Our first trip to Fuerteventura so didn't know what to expect. Nice hotel but a little larger than we usually like. We had one of the superior rooms in block 3 which was very good. We found the standard of food was good. We always tried to sit in the outside areas so didn't notice the noise in the dining room. Always found sunbeds but there was a lack of umbrellas. Beach was lovely. Evening entertainment was good too. We would return to this hotel

Just come back from this hotel, having spent a two week break.Very worried just before we went as the reviews were going down hill, but I must say this is a fantastic hotel to stay at.The check in at reception took ten mins, not a long time to wait,it does help speed things up if you fill in the form that they give you on the coach ride from the airport.I had only booked a standard room, but after reading all the fuss about block one, decided to email the hotel a couple of weeks before to ask for a high floor room in either block 2 or 3.At reception I was given a room on the top floor in block 2 so I was well pleased. The room itself was fantastic with a view of the swimming pool, and partial view of the sea.It was very large with a great dressing room area off of the main room, very clean,a handy fridge and a kettle which was a bonus. We used this every day for morning and evening coffee on our balcony.Just remember to take tea bags and coffee with you as this is not supplied. The food both breakfasts and dinners were fantastic, lots of different dishes each day, well presented and also a nice outdoor section which we used every day.The hotel entertainment team were the best we have ever come across. Each show that they performed was like a west end musical, just as well as the town is very small,so not a great deal to do at night. The food and drink here outside of the hotel is so cheap its not worth going full board. We were given this option when we arrived but we were so glad we did not take it up as it would have worked out more expensive. The two pools were great but the only one that is solar heated is the one near the bar,the other pool was too cold to enjoy. We would go back to this hotel for a week as we found it to be very good value for the amount that we had paid.

I am currently here writing this review. I have to say the check in was ok, when we arrived at 1pm our room was not ready but I was expecting that so we had some lunch and a walk around and was in our room by 2.30. We are in room 2207, a sort of view of the pool but mostly of a palm tree. The room is looking tired, the draws are broken the wall paper is coming away in places. We are in the AI which is ok but a little bit like feeding time at the zoo. One of the things that is the most annoying is that people are putting towels on the sun beds from around 6.30am and its the British doing it even though there are signs every where, these people are so sad and selfish individuals. I have already emailed the hotel to tell them this. Have not experienced the hotels entertainment as yet, the town is very small and not a lot to do so beware. I have traveled to many 4 star all inclusive before but I would put this one at the bottom of my list, hotel is far to big for my type of holiday. If you have kids then you will prob enjoy it. Would I come back or recommend, I'm afraid to say I dont think so :( there are to many you can not do at this hotel, no eating by pool, no lilo, no shorts for men in eve dinner, no vest tops for men at lunch all you want to do on hol is relax and have fun and not be told what to do
