“Lovely, quaint restaurant”

Situated at top of the resort, this was recommended to us. Next to the bakery. Had the 10 tapas for 22euros between me and my partner. Very filling and all hot and tasty. Came on two plates. Toilets very clean.

“Fantastic selection of traditional food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013

Wandering round town on our recent trip my partner and I were discussing where to have lunch. A passing local suggested here or The Captains. When asked where he would go he said this is the place the locals eat. A good enough recommendation for me.
We looked over the menu while enjoying a lovely cold bottle of rose wine. As we couldn't decide what dishes to order we decided on the mixed platter of 10 tapas.
The first plate delivered had local cheese, Spanish omelet, mussels in a spicy sauce, roast potato in a spicy sauce, chicken croquet and a mix of tuna, onion and potato. All very tasty. The second plate arrived with chicken wings, chorizo, meatballs in spicy sauce, a couple of bits of bacon/ham and pork and a lovely dish of chick peas and potato.
All in a very enjoyable, tasty and filling meal and a great introduction to Spanish food.
If you want to go on holiday and eat fish and chips, pizza, curry and sausage and mash this will not be the restaurant for you. If you prefer to try local cuisine as the locals eat it this is a must.
If I ever find myself back in Caleta de Fuste I will definitely be back.

“Ok but not great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013 via mobile

Having read the reviews on here we were expecting something amazing, authentic and tasty .... we got average food. Wine was nice. Chorizo was rubbery with bony lumps and the potatos were bland but the peppers, chickpea/meat casserole and croquettes were good. Wouldn't revisit and wouldn't recommend.

“Still Best Tapas and Service in Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

Once again we have enjoyed eating most evenings in this Bar, food is always freshly prepared by the chef to your request. The attention to cleanliness in the kitchen is always high on my list , and to see them cleaning every night as they go along is a good point. We have eaten all of the menu options and find the mixed tapas excellent quality and good value. It is a true local tapas bar used by the locals, just go along try, and enjoy. You will be warmly welcomed.
