“Friendly and Safe”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

We have just spent a week at this lovely family run hotel and from the moment we arrived to the time we departed were not disappointed once. The room (13) was a good size with adequate wardrobe/shelf space. The bathroom was spacious with a bath and a great shower always providing plenty of hot water. Our room had a big balcony with table and chairs and 2 sun loungers. The room was cleaned to a very high standard every morning with towel changes every other day. Bed linen was also changed during our stay. If you enjoy a cuppa in your room do as we did and take a travel kettle, coffee etc as those facilities are not provided. There is an option of having breakfast on any morning you like, we ate 7 mornings and it was fantastic for the money (5 Euros).
The position of La Casita is second to none being on a small quiet road but only 5mins into the centre of Caleta and the beach.
La Casita has a very friendly and safe feel to it and we would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Caleta.

Room Tip: The top floor rooms have larger balconies.

My wife and I have just returned from a week at La Casita. I cant praise it highly enough. It was our wedding anniversary while we were there and I had contacted the hotel before arriving to see if arranging a bottle of champagne and a card to be in our room on arrival would be possible. The ladies excelled themselves, with flowers, card, fruit basket and a lovely bottle of prosecco. ( I must especially mention and thank Maite for her help with this, and also her help during the week x).
The hotel is quite compact with only 17 rooms. Its location is perfect and within a 10 minute walk of most of the resort. The room was spotless and was a decent size with an equally large patio. The main pool/patio area was nice and a little sun trap. The service was always good at the bar, it was kinda like being at your aunties, nothing was ever a problem and all the staff went out of their way to bring out your drinks/snacks. Bar prices were good, 3e a beer n 1.5e a coffee.
This hotel would be perfect for couples of all ages, although there are a few stairs to climb and no lift. There is no entertainment at night and no tv in the rooms so don't come expecting any. This hotel is all about excellent service and making sure you have a relaxing and peaceful holiday. Im sure parents with kids would be well looked after, and there were 1 or 2 couples there last week with pram sized babies, but this isn't a kids club kinda place.
To sum up, if you want a holiday in a spotless, well located, very friendly home from home, and a hello and goodbye as you come in and out then stay here. Ive never felt so at home in a hotel as I did here, and when we left it was leaving old friends, we even got a goodbye kiss n cuddle from the family. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Caleta.

Room Tip: Don't think it matters which room you get, there isn't a significant view from any of them...

Stayed at La Casita for a week and you could not ask for a warmer welcome, a lovely stay and a nice clean room. Would definitely stay again. It's a family run hotel who all seem to chip in. The owner even came out to shake our hand and make sure our taxi arrived.

La Casita Hotel was a lovely hotel. Whats to say. everything has already been said. My only fault and it is a very small one is that I would have liked to have had some tea/coffe making facilities in the room. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay at La Casita. Great value for money

Room Tip: We found our room no. 9 on the first floor but I expect that they are all the same.to be quiet

Whats not to like. Run in true family style by a true Italian family, everything was awesome. From the excellently clean rooms, to the excellent service (never been comfortable seeing older women carrying my very heavy suitcases, but I didnt have a choice) to the quiet but friendly bar, complete with business friendly internet access. I was actually sad to leave. Six stars, but Tripadvisor doesnt cater for that :)

Room Tip: There was no Fitness center or spa. But what do you expect at those prices..........

Just returned from an early February break. We chose La Casita on the basis of the many favorable reviews.

I will not repeat these at length but will simply say that the many positive comments are well deserved. it is not typical of the large "package tour" type hotels but is small, quaint with a very friendly atmosphere typical of a family run hotel. No gym but a small pool and there is a commercial gym very close by.

We will definitely return one day.
