Have stayed a few times in a villa on the golf course but never here before. We were 5 adults and there was plenty room for all of us. Pool towels were provided and a small selection of necessities in the kitchen when we arrived. We hired a car but it is still within walking distance to Atlantico. The pool was fab and big enough for us all and we made use of the BBQ provided. All in all a good stay and we recommend and stay again
Stayed at Villa Georgianna with my husband grown up children, partner, and 9 month old grandson . We stayed for a week and collected a hire car from the airport using Auto Reisen which we were very happy with . The journey from the airport to villa only took 10/15 min so ideal .
We found the Villa well equipped for a self catering holiday and enjoyed barbecues every day . The Spar at the local shopping centre was well stocked but we did use the Maccadona supermarket which is a bit further back towards the airport for a big shop .
The heated pool was lovely and our grandson spent many hours in it along with the slide and playhouse . The location was very relaxing and we all felt safe . We did eat out once in Calleta De Fuste at the Fado Rock Steakhouse and would recommend the food . Beach towels were provided and the welcome pack was much appreciated after arriving on a late flight . We have made plans to return to the villa in September for another relaxing break .
The villa was spacious and the pool was fabulous with plenty of sun beds. Kitchen had all necessary appliances. Car essential. Beds a bit creaky and linen/towels not good quality. Wifi costs 15 euros a week.
Villa Georgianna was pretty much everything we needed. We spent the days relaxing around the pool and evening walking into town for dinner. New Year's Eve was spent watching the fire works from the roof terrace before a midnight dip in the pool. We were extremely lucky with the weather. The villa was well equipped and the only thing I'd recommend would be free wifi and pool towels. Most people will probably come in on budget airlines and towels add to your baggage weight. Overall it was a great holiday and let us get away from dreary weather back home.
We had a fabulous week at villa Georgianna. It is a beautifully appointed villa, modern and with everything you need for a perfect stay. The pool is wonderful-very warm and with lovely poolside area. It is the second time we have stayed there, and will do again in the future.
We stayed at Villa Georgianna for 18 nights in August.
We had a fabulous holiday, the weather was great and the Villa was excellent. This was our 3rd visit to Caleta De Fuste. The place is lovely, your pretty much guaranteed the weather and for our family ( we have 3 children 3yrs / 13 yrs and 16yrs ) it ticks all the boxes. There are lots of things to do if you want, or if you just want to chill in the villa or on the beach the choice is yours. Plenty of good eating places in both the Atlantico Centre ( 10 mins walk away ) and town ( 20 mins walk away ). One of the main things we like about the area is that it is busy enough that there is a good atmosphere but not too busy that you can’t eat in the places you want to or do the things that you like. We have never encountered large groups of drunken idiots or stag / hen do’s either which is great.
Fran ( the owner ) was brilliant with all the booking arrangements, she was prompt and helpful with all correspondence and made the actual booking of the villa a breeze. We requested the pool guard when booking ( our son was 2 at the time we stayed and wanted the peace of mind that he’d be safe outside ) and I must say it was much better than I imagined. There are plastic sockets actually fixed into the ground which it slots into making the whole thing sturdy, strong and very safe. It was already in place when we arrived and my concerns about how effective it would be in keeping our little monkey safe were quickly thwarted when I saw how good it was.
The Villa itself is lovely. Clean, very well equipped and nicely decorated with modern furniture and appliances. I have noted that a couple of people have mentioned about the villa being tired and dirty? This was most definitely not the case when we stayed.
We have stayed in a very similar Villa on the same street the 1st time we came to Caleta and I can say without hesitation that Villa Georgianna was by far the best Villa we have stopped in so far. ( It was that good we have already re-booked for summer 2017! ) Penny and Jenny were helpful, we had to text them about a minor issue we had with the TV box. They came the same day and resolved it for us straight away.
You can tell when you get there that the owners / managers have thought of almost everything, there is lots of crockery / cutlery ( sounds silly ) but it means that you can then use the dishwasher properly and don’t have to wash up every time someone uses a cup or a plate. Some of the crockery is plastic ( great for kids and outside on hard floor ) All the appliances are good quality and branded i.e Big Samsung Fridge Freezer, Sony Sound System, LG TV, Zanussi washing machine etc etc and everything worked too. We have had it previously where you think somewhere is well equipped but then things don’t work!! Again this was not the case here.
Penny and Jenny had left some essentials for us which was a nice surprise we weren’t expecting, and there were also useful bits and bobs that have been left by other guests which all make for an easy stay ( a few dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, hand wash, bin bags, matches etc etc ) all the stuff that you generally acquire over your stay were already there and were obviously surplus from other guests, and made it very easy to get into holiday mode because we really didn’t need to worry about anything. It was little things like this that meant it was hassle free and we just replenished what we used and left similar items / things for the lucky guests that followed us.
The pool was fab, clean and warm and my youngest absolutely loved it. We were in the water every day and for someone who wasn’t too confident when we first arrived, by the end of the holiday he was jumping in, going underneath wanting to be thrown around, truly phenomenal, needless to say we made good use of the pool and it was good to cool off in too.
There is a section at the side of the villa that has artificial grass, a slide and a play house. When our son was not being thrown around the pool or watching Toy Story ( for the 6 millionth time ) he was in his own ‘ Holiday House ‘ on the grass. I didn’t think he’d be too taken with the play house, but I was wrong!!
There are plenty of very good quality sun loungers, both by the pool and on the roof terrace. We spent quite a bit of time on those so it was nice to see that they were good quality. The Villa is also situated next to the 16th or 17th tee of the golf course. Even though this is the case it is still private because the positioning. You can see the entire hole from the roof terrace and it was nice to watch a bit of golf and see the golfers come past. Also because the Villa is adjacent to the tee, we didn’t have the worry of stray ball coming flying into the back garden area. ( In the previous Villa we had to fish 3 / 4 balls out of the pool from stray shots because that one overlooked the green!! – Not great )
I could write and write about how good this place is, and can’t think of anything negative to say. Villa Georgianna is a little gem and we had a great time, and I would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone.
Thanks Fran, Penny and Jenny we had a brilliant time, we are already counting down to coming back again in summer 2017!
