“Expected a submarine type trip”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

the trip was fine but is really just a glass bottom boat. It goes out about 800 yds in to the bay and circles round with all the fish swimming around. then you can have a pic with a sealion giving you a kiss and pay for a pic (8E). then hav a wander on the pirate ship. the kids loved it.

“Great thing to do!”
Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

I personally really enjoyed the sea lion experience, being able to stroke, kiss and get spun by it was a once in a lifetime experience and a never to be missed opportunity. Brilliant.

The glass bottom boat was also a blast. I was a bit sceptical about it sinking, but soon I felt comfortable.
Seeing all the fish trying to keep up was brilliant. I didn't stop taking pictures and would highly recommend it.

“Disgusting Attitude”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Saved this visit to the Pirate Ship for our 3 year old grandsons last day treat. As an avid fan of a certain children's pirate character he was jumping with excitement. When we approached the 'sales desk' we were promptly told that we would have to purchase an excursion to 'swim with seals' or take a trip on a submarine. When we explained we were unable to do so as it was to late and we were leaving early the next morning ( not to mention our 3year old can't swim with seals or would be uncomfortable in a claustrophobic submarine) we (and our grandson) were told in no uncertain terms that there was no way we would be going on the pirate ship. Cue one very upset and sobbing three year old complete with pirate sword and he had to listen to a very rude and unsympathetic female who continued to rant even after being offered money to at least let him board for 5mins. Result of this visit was walking away trying to distract a wee one who was still hopefully pointing to his pirate ship. A very disappointing end to an otherwise wonderful holiday where other attraction staff at Oasis Park among others were fantastic. Just a warning if you have budding wee pirates on holiday with you. And finally we passed their gift shop where surprise surprise you are given free entry. Sickening.

“Concerened about animal welfare”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We visited Puerto Castillo with an intention to visit the Oceanarium Explorer, however when we arrived at the kiosk it appeared that the Sealions are kept in small enclosure then let out to "entertain" the humans. Out of principle we decided not to give this operation our custom.
