We are a family of 4 and stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean view apartment. The outlook is spectacular with ocean views from lounge area and both bedrooms, all with balconies.
We had 2 bathrooms, both with shower, toilet and vanity which made the morning shower rush very easy. The main bedroom and bathroom area had a door separating the area from rest of apartment which was good for privacy. The apartment is spacious, large kitchen, modern dining setting, chaise lounge and flat screen tv. Main bedroom had king size bed and flat screen tv, broadband (pay), nice size balcony and large storage and hanging areas in hallway The 2nd bedroom was a bit tight, it has 2 single beds fairly close together in the centre of the room with minimal walk around area and a large sliding door wardrobe. Kids were happy there as they were only in there to sleep.
Washing machine, dryer and dishwasher available in unit, which I didn't use.
Pool and tennis court are lovely although I did miss not having steps into the pool, ladder only.
Location is perfect, above Oasis shopping mall, across the road from beach, monorail station to Casino is in Oasis shopping centre. Many restaurants in the mall just downstairs, it was lovely to have so much so close.
Transport to Movieworld and Dreamworld was easy on the TX2 bus from outside the Convention Centre (on Gold Coast Highway) and cost $7 adult and $3.50 for kids, it picks up in Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise then express to the theme parks. Pacific Fair shopping centre is walking distance, although we did catch a taxi ($7) back after a full day shopping :)
Taxi into Surfers Paradise cost us just under $10, bus fare was $3.60 adult and $1.40 kids, but it is walkable in about 45 minutes.
Overall staying at Air on Broadbeach was a wonderful holiday destination. Everything is clean and well thought out. The staff are very helpful when spoken to but I did miss not getting a greeting and smile as we entered and left the building.

Just back from a wonderful holiday staying at AIR. The nicest accomodation I had ever been.
1) Location is great with Oasis just downstairs so all those last minute grocery shopping can be done at Woolworth supermarket.
2) Scenery is beautiful. Got a 3 bedroom ocean front and the view is spectacular. Woken by the sound of sea waves sure brings down anyone's high blood pressure.
just loved the close promixity to the sea thus it was a ritual to bring kids down to pick sea shells by the sea shore everyday.
3) Aparment decor is minimalistic modern. Everything is clean and has all the stuff required of a self catering unit.
4) Never ever hear any renovation noise as read from some of the reviews which scared me initially. The so called noise from the pubs below is not that bad too. Just close the balcony doors if it really bother you.
5) The journey to the car park is no nightmare at all. In fact just love the tight security of it . For Singaporeans, you will understand the drive to the catered car park is something like our multi storey HDB carpark except that this carpark is so much more spacious. So no problem on this at all.
In short, fabulous place to stay and I will be back.

We stayed in a 2 Bdrm Ocean apartment in early Nov 2007 and just loved it. The living, kitchen, balcony, bathrooms were huge. While the bdrms were not huge they were definitley large enough. One bathroom had a shower and toilet and the other bathroom had a toilet, shower and separate bath which we required for our toddler. Air hired us a wooden cot for our toddler (who won't sleep in a portacot) at our request and this was in excellent condition.
Our wishlist was central Broadbeach, spotless/newish apartment, parking and warm pool. Air meet all of these requirements, and we would definitley stay there again.
The only con (and really once we were used to it, it didn't seem so bad given everything else was great), was the car park. It is in the Oasis Centre next door. You get a swipe card to get in and out and also a laser dodacky to let you into the gated Air carparks which are about 8 levels up. Once you have parked car then you take lift up to Air building, walk along a corridor, swipe card again, and take another lift up to your floor. Doing this with luggage and a toddler while reading directions is not easy, but once you know where you're going its fine.
Being above the Oasis Shopping Centre is great, especially as it has a Woolworths. Also the Kurrawa Surf Club is across the road which has lovely, very reasonably priced meals.
We did see the construction on the Coolangatta side but did not hear anything. Did not hear any of our neighbours. The noise of the waves was pretty loud (bit like listening to air-con) and the damn birds are up at about 4.30am, but guess you get that anywhere.
Overall, very pleased and would recommend.

The Air Apartments are new to Broadbeach, Qld. They are very modern & the location is fantastic as it situated directly on the Mall at Broadbeach, overlooking the ocean.

The facilities are good as it features a pool & BBQ area.

The room which I stayed in was 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, with a flat screen TV in each bedroom. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is quite large.

The way which the apartment is laid out is very private as each bedroom is on opposite sides of the apartment, which would easily suit 2 couples.

The balconies are big & has outdoor table & chairs.

I would certainly stay at the apartments again

We stayed here for 10 days in October with our 3 year old.

The apartments are spacious & very modern. The views are great & balconies big.

We had a 2 bed apartment with 2 shower rooms, we were disappointed not to have a bath in either bathroom despite them being big enough. Our daugher does not like showers!

The pool area is very spacious which was our main reason for choosing these apartments but they were just too cold to swim in and certinally for a 3 year old. The design is as such that the slightest sea brezze howls through, so even if you can stand the water tempertaure for a few minutes you freeze your butt off getting out. So that was really disappointing.

Perhaps the pool is ok at the height of summer, Dec-March?

The gym was quite sparce & windows were filthy.

We didn't have a car so the parking was not an issue but I heard plenty of other people complaining.

I think the complex feels much more like a residential complex & feel the rates are very high for what you get.

After an initial mix up with our booking ie, they LOST it, we were given fair compensation and a two bedroom apartment for the first night (we had booked and paid a deposit on a 3-bedroom). The apartments were both quite minimalist in decor but had plenty of cupboard space, cooking utensils, crockery, towels etc. Everything was clean and in working order.
The views were lovely, but construction noise was a problem and will continue for quite sometime due to the large development being built next door.
The car parking was interesting; a winding, long drive up to level 3a which doesn't sound far, but when there are levels 1, then 1a then another 1a etc, it seems to take forever.
Excellent location ie, the beach, monorail, restaurants, casino, shopping etc are all at the door.
The receptionists were very customer service orientated, helpful and friendly which was nice.
Probably will stay again.

Just a warning to anyone staying at Air in the near future!! We stayed in an apartment in which the side of the apartment was facing Coolangatta. There is a major development starting just next door. The noise drove us mad - it was a nightmare. I never thought construction noise could drive someone so mad, but when you think about how much money you are spending, and how you imagined relaxing in a nice quiet place next to the beach, to then be haunted by LOUD drilling from 7am to 5pm, its enough to drive anyone to tears/crazy. You can't even return to the apartment inbetween activities to relax.

Another nightmare is the parking! Don't underestimate this. If you want to spend 15 min getting to your apartment or leaving each time you want to go out, well that is what you are in for. We ended up parking across the road in the surf club car park, when we could.

The rooms are beautiful and clean although we agree with the small rooms. In the main room, there was nowhere to put your suitcase. The views are spectacular and we loved the kitchen. The convience of the shopping centre is great. But really if I had known about the noise I would not have stayed here. There really is a lot of construction around, so make this a key question anywhere in the area. Verve looked good (quiet) and only a couple of blocks away.
