We were staying in Southport, a 15 min drive away and saw their ad in the motel guide. The meals are absolutely MASSIVE and delicious. Service was great from the husband and wife owners. We left feeling very satisfied.

The beer is amazing.

One of the best German meals outside of Germany. The owner is from Munich and his chef also from Germany. Four of us from the Sunshine Coast and the US dined here recently and all had great food. The schnitzels were offered in both veal and pork and both were very good, pork knuckle was excellent and a surprise offering that you don't often see abroad, spaetzle and kraut were excellent, decent German beer selection, owner roasts his own coffee in-house and it was outstanding, and the prices were quite resonable. Well done!!

My husband and I dined at the Bavarian Kitchen after reading the great reviews on Tripadvisor. I can honestly say it was some of the best food we have eaten. My husband had the pork knuckle which was absolutely sensational and huge. I had the beef dish which was equally sensational and also substantial. My only regret is not being able to fit in the dessert. The whole night was one of fantastic food and very friendly staff. Congratulations to all at the Bavarian Kitchen we will be back!

It was very good. Quiet not too busy. But it was early in the night. Food was great, good pricing. I had the sausage platter; only thing I could fault on the dish was the bratwurst. It was different to the bratwurst I have had at other German restaurants. Not as nice. But the rest excellent .

suppose to be Bavarien. The Sauerkraut was to sweet & the used gravy out of a box . Potatos a big question mark as they had gravy. Gulash nothing like it all you could tast was paprika. Spatzle horrible could only taste parsley Out of the 3 Saugases 2 are realy good but the Weisewurst was horrible. Price was Ok

Thank you for your feedback. Welcome to TripAdvisor Brigitte S. We note it's your first comment and your only review so far.

The sauerkraut is made specially sweet because this is how 99.99% of our customers (regulars and new) like (please also refer to some of the comments they make here in the TripAdvisor). We are in this business in keeping these clients happy.

The gravy didn't come out of a box. We use the stock of our signature dish - the crispy pork knuckle. We save by doing this.

There's no paprika in our goulash either. We use fresh capsicum from the local farmer's produce.

Our homemade spaetzle (German Egg Noodle) didn't have any parsley in it. The single parsley leaf on top of it was for aesthetics purposes.

The sausage you called Weisewurst was actually a pork sausage. A weisswurst is a veal sausage.

Again, thank you for your time and contribution.
