“great place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

At times it takes a long wait to be served, but great beer and food is worth it.
A great place for lunch or dinner.

“Noise, noise and then some!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

Called in to BBC in the arvo and booked a table for 2 for dinner. Lucky we did! Arrived at appointed time of 06.30pm. Place was already half full (well it is Queensland, the State of Early Eaters).
Stood by the Maitre D's station as wait staff passed us by relentlessly. Seemed a long time but probably wasn't.
Seated. Table had been cleaned with perhaps a dilute honey solution. Sticky! Icky!
The place was filling fast. Big tables. Groups of 10 and 15. The fit-out has ZERO accoustic treatment. All surfaces bounce rather than absorb sound. Looks good, but boy with groups everywhere shouting to be heard it became unbearable.
Beers ordered. Look at menu. Where are beers?
Order food. Beers arrive. Food arrives. Obviously a good deal of the tucker was pre-prepared it came out so quickly.
One Tuesday special - 300gm pork schnitzel, chips and coleslaw. Was ok, but it seemed as though 200gms of the 300gms were breadcrumbs.
Half pork knuckle with sauerkraut, mash and apple. Mash was luke warm at best but knuckle was well cooked and tender.
The special was $19 and about on the money. $28 for the knuckle a tad over priced.
Left 'cause we couldn't hear ourselves. Waitress did say that it's not normally so busy on a Tuesday.

“Oh so slow.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

If you are not too hungry when sitting down you certainly will be by the time food arrives. Food very ordinary but staff pleasant. Good location, close to everything but much better choices around Broadbeach, won't be going again. Very unimpressed.

“Good breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

Ate here during the blues festival and was impressed with the breakfast food, great atmosphere with the live music just next to the outdoor dining area and good service. Not the most amazing breakfast I've ever eaten but it was very tasty and a good size so no complaints (had the big breakfast with the lot). Would return and eat here again if returning to gold coast.
