fantastic room and facilities, ideal location, no crowds around the pool, no noise, close to all facilities - no car required - ideal location for a family holiday with teenagers....good restaurants within walking distance
We searched the internet for lots of places to stay but decided on Ocean Pacific because of location and newness. Being only 8 months old, the decor was nice and modern (no cane!!), the King bed was very comfy as was the couch.Everything was very clean. The kitchen was small in terms of bench space but we managed to cook and prepare meals there as everything you needed was supplied. The BBQ area by the pool was very clean and spacious with lots of bench space, sink, cleaning things etc. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom as we have 2 young children and was great to have a bath for them. The view was superb as there is nothing between the building and the sea. Although it is a block back, the only thing in between is a school oval. You could lie in bed and watch the sun rise over the sea. The curtains did a reasonable job at blocking out the light and sun (something we find hard when away as we are used to full blockout curtains in the bedroooms) although the second bedroom was rather light as there is big spotlights that light up the entire wall of the building at night. There were no construction sites close enough to be a nuisance. We could see other places where this could be a problem. It is far enough away from Broadbeach Mall to be quiet but only a 4 block walk to get there. Pacific Fair is also very close and has a supermarket as well. We had no problems with our booking, did it all over the internet. We had a late checkin but that caused no problems. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.
We stayed for 5 nights on the 4th floor in a one bedroom apartment. We booked through Wotif for the best rate and also got discount vouchers for meals at Sage and Yellowfin restaurants (both which we used and enjoyed).
We were not disappointed with our apartment as it was modern, clean and had all we needed for our stay. The main bedroom had its own TV and comfortable king size bed. We enjoyed quiet nights for sleeping and there was no noise from traffic or others staying as there are only 4 apartments on each floor. There was ducted heating which we used in the evenings as the nights we quite cold. We enjoyed seeing the sunrise from our bedroom and balcony. There is undercover security parking and each apartment is allocated a space to use.
The location is excellent as it only five or ten minutes walk to Pacific Fair, the Oasis shopping centre and the casino. The beach is only a few minutes away and we were fortunate enough to see whales the day we walked down there.
We would recommend this place for anyone wanting a quiet, secure place to stay and would definitely stay there again.
We have just returned from spending 4 nights on the Gold Coast at Ocean Pacific. I did some research through Trip Advisor to confirm the type of accommodation and comments other people had made before deciding to give it a go. It met all our expectations to a 'T'. We stayed on the 7th floor and the apartment was modern and well appointed with great views. It was great waking up and being able to look out towards the ocean with the sun streaming in. The facilities, ie the pool, spa, bbq are great and very well appointed and we made the most of these during our stay. The location is ideally placed to the beach and also Pacific Fair and Oasis. We would definitely stay here again.
We have never provided any reviews in the past but this time we are doing our premier as we owe it to TripAdvisor for giving us a good recommendation.
We travelled to Gold Coast with two young kids. Took a late arrival flight from KUL and arrived at BNE at about 2215h. Got our car [from tiki car rental] and drove on M1 Pacific Highway southward until Exit 77 Broadbeach. From the exit follow Route 90 all the way to the beach. Just one block before the beach is Ocean Pacific Resort on the RHS. Whole journey took about 1.5 hours. Not because of traffic but the speed restrictions.
We had doubts about the after hours checkin procedure but the instructions were clear.
We had a double room apartment on the 16th floor [all apartments overlook the Pacific!].
We also had our own assigned car park in a secured area in the basement. There is direct lifts to the apartment floor via secure tags given to you on check in.
Some tips: Ask the reception for all travel/tour arrangements including car, if you need. We were lucky we asked and we had all our tickets pre-booked for us and charged to the room. Therefore, no queues and ensured tickets at the attractions. Includes most of the attractions like Movieworld, Seaworld, Dreamworld, Sanctuaries, Outnack Show [must see] and the Jupiter Conrad dance shows [we watched the Irish "Dance of Desire"].
Do note that Ocean Pacific is a self-contained apartment. There will be sheets, towels, shampoo, conditioners and soap but minimal. Bring your own if you wish. Sheets and towels could be changed for a fee.
Now all attractions a easily and readily reached by M1 Highway. No GPS needed. Signages are excellent in Queensland. You can walk to the beach. And four blocks to the north, you have a choice of many many restaurants.
For the shoppers, Pacific Fair is walkable to the West of Ocean Pacific.
Stayed here for 7 nights on 16th floor (I think). Great views and well appointed rooms, really could not have asked for much more.
My only minor criticism was that the gym was quite limited, could have done with a little more equipment.
