I stayed here for 3 nights in September 2011 while attending a convention at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The room was really a studio apartment with lots of space and all the facilities you'd expect (living area with a sofa and armchairs; kitchen; laundry). It also had a big balcony and excellent ocean views. Because Gold Coast is on the east coast of Australia, you get to watch the sunrise every morning if you're an early bird. Fro the hotel it is a short stroll to the convention centre and Broadbeach cafes and restaurants.
The hotel charges for internet access. This seems to be an illness affecting many Australian hotels. Hopefully they will soon wake up to the reality that Internet access is a basic service, like hot water or clean towels.More
