“Great location & family holiday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2013

We love Broadbeach and Aria is the best place to date we have stayed in all our travels to the Gold Coast. We stayed on the 4th floor with a view of the swimming pool and glimpse of the ocean, and with the children wanting to swim every day it was nice to be able to watch them from the balcony.
Our holiday consisted of doing all the Theme Parks so it was handy to be able to walk across to the mall and bring back take-away for dinner, as we were usually too tired to dress up to go out for dinner. The kitchen was great for self catering, with a large fridge/freezer,micowave, cooktop etc, a couple of utensils seemed to be missing so I made a note and left it at the reception desk on our way out one morning to find that afternoon the utensils in our draw. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed a full week and made use of the washing machine/dryer - able to freshen our towels during our stay, as well as not take home too much dirty laundry.
We were first to use the new King bed - it was a firm mattress, pillows were not so comfortable - flat and hard to sleep on.
Loved everything about our apartment only gripe would be no blockout on the white bedroom curtains - full daylight at 5am had the children up really early, thus we were all up by 6am - would have been nice to be able to sleep in while on holiday. Our Kids LOVED having Foxtel - watched Adventure Time everyday :)

Room Tip: If you want to sleep in ask which rooms have blockout on curtains, or don't face the ocean with...

Thank you for your review. Broadbeach is a great spot to visit and of course we agree Aria apartments are a nice place to stay.

The pool view rooms have become a great hit for families, as most are discounted during February, May, June and certain dates late in each year for 7 nights plus. So glad you experienced Aria and had such a lovely time. The new Foxtel channels have been a hit with most guests.

Yes, first for the new bed, unfortunately the valances (bed skirt) didn't arrive until later. The bedhead is delivered tomorrow and valances have now been placed on. Hopefully you will enjoy it even more next time with these little extra touches. As the apartments are individually owned, we do note that this owner is constantly up dating their apartment, including approval for new tiles in the bathroom early next year. We apologise for the pillows if they were uncomfortable and will get house keeping to replace with our new style of air pillows that also have just arrived.

As the owner is improving this room at current time, management will pass on notes about the curtains as these have not been replaced since the new owner took over. Most of our owners are going with block out curtains in the bedroom and blinds in the living area.

It is always rewarding for management to see guests happy and receive constructive feedback. Thank you for you time in writing this review and we hope to enhance this room from notes in your review.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment on the 11th floor, location was great, close to all the action in Broadbeach. Swimming pool was great, kids had a blast. Unfortunately our room was less than the luxury that they advertise. We arrived to a dishwasher full of the last guest dishes and no tea towels (not a major drama), the showers were mouldy as were the bathroom floors, the blinds were way past there prime. Advised reception, cleaner came and dropped some tea towels off. Next night the kitchen roof started leaking from the A/C, maintenance bloke came and sorted that out the next morning. During some heavy rain, the windows leaked in the master bedroom, all over the carpets, used all our towels to clean up. I rang the after hours receptionist and she kindly advised me to close the window to stop the water, excellent advice if in fact the window was open. No one came to see about this, so I washed and dried all our towels myself. The main bathroom developed a smell so bad we had to leave the door shut, clearly some plumbing issues there.
When checking out, the receptionist asked about my stay and I said that we were disappointed and ran through all the issues we had, she scoffed at me and said that people actually request to stay in that room, I said that perhaps she should go and have a look and a smell for herself.
I would not stay here again, very disappointing.

Firstly, we apologise for the dishwasher issue, we were not informed of this at all, but will discuss it with the cleaners.

We are extremely happy to see you kids had a great time. The pool is very child friendly with a wading shelf that children often love swimming across (although there is no child pool but it is very popular with families). The spa is nicely heated all year round for all to enjoy.

The guest first complained to reception on check-in, she had booked a special on an agency site for that states requests comments are requests only as only onsite management can guarantee any particular requirements. Guest requested a ocean view and was given a room Mid level with ocean views. On check-in guest expressed disappointment to reception that she wanted ocean view. Sorry already booked out by full paying guests, hence a special was released.

Unfortunately disappointment swings both ways: Maintenance was called to the apartment due to Air conditioner leaking, maintenance was informed they could go to the apartment even though guests were out, when he got there every door and window was wide open with the Air conditioner running at 18 degrees (pre-set to 21-22 degrees). This was the same day Gold Coast received a large storm and received horizontal rain with large hail. Hence humidity was extremely high prior to the storm and having a Air conditioner trying to run at the same time with no windows shut was very costly and caused damage to the Air conditioner. Hence the guests should have been charged for the cost of repairs for breaching management requests of not changing settings, instructions clearly posted at all 3 Air conditioners in the apartment, all 3 were changed.

Maintenance fixed a blind cord that was fine prior to guest checking in and then shut the windows and large sliding doors to the main lounge areas but had reported it management and afterhours services, hence the comments from afterhours was to ensure all windows were shut in the bedrooms. Management was caught in the same freak storm off site (occurred afternoon/evening), but management personally placed towels at the door of the apartment asap (guests seemed to be asleep and or no response so they were left at the door, as we can't just go in rooms with out prior authorisation!)

In regards to the room not being up to date, this is the same room we have on our website. Hence there is no chance of misleading any guest in the future or past, and all apartments are assessed by Management and AAA Tourism. Management constantly addresses any issues to uphold the 4.5 star rating at all times throughout the year, AAA suggestions have been adhered to over the last 2.5 years of current management and we will continue to make Aria a place of luxury.

Majority of the comments from guests are normally positive, and Aria has a high return guest ratio. Aria has an in-house feedback form and multiple other guests ticket excellent for Building facilities and cleanliness for the same duration this guest stayed, but on this guest marked us as very low.

So although this guest has been quite tough on rating Aria, we appreciate every guests input and will continue to use feedback both from in-house forms and other methods as a guide to improving Aria, we strongly disagree with this guest on many items and feel that some of the items expressed are unfounded but will look into all matters to ensure it continues to be a great place to stay for other guests.

Stayed in a two bed apartment on the tenth floor.
Really well located complex and the rooms were excellent.
Staff were helpful.
Walking distance to bars and restaurants.
Rubbish removal at 6:00 am was a bit noisy but not the end of the world.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013

We just got back from our annual "boys weekend" away, we had 5 blokes staying in a 3 bedroom apartment. ..... and I must add that they are a much tamer affair than they used to be... old age is catching up : )

The apartment we were in was spectacular. The views stretched down the entire coast to Coolongatta, and across the entire hinterland. The living area is very spacious with an abundance of light, and the furnishings were comfortable and plenty of seating for all.

The kitchen was huge, and had all the things you need, including a large fridge with auto ice dispenser (very convenient for my bourbons). There was a large dining area off the kitchen, although we did not use this as we ate out all the time. And there is a large balcony that can be opened right up because of the stacker sliding doors.... it really brings the outside in, and creates an airy and relaxed atmosphere.

The master bedroom was huge (I snivelled this as I was the "travel agent" for the trip). It had a spa bath, double sinks and a good shower and toilet. It had its own air con control, and a TV. The other bedrooms were also great, with TV's in both of those rooms too. The beds in all rooms were very hard and not really comfortable, but the pillows were great.

The facilities in this complex are great, with a very large and beautiful pool, a gym, a cinema room that you can book for personal use.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, as they provided extra car parks for us which they didn't have to do, but was extremely appreciated. The only small negative was that due to it not being a hotel, they are only there in business hours, and there were a couple of times we could have used their help outside this time.

The location is spot on, in Broadbeach. You are literally in the thick of it with restaurants, bars, Woolworths, cafes, beach, Jupiters Casino all at your doorstep.

A fabulous apartment which I would highly recommend. We will be back!

Thanks for you lovely review:

Kitchen is huge - agree, we like the fridges that are in most of the apartments too, and many guests request them.

Beds, we will have a look into which apartment you had to see if we can address the bed, some are currently being replaced. Pillows are now new style air pillows, we love them too.

Facilities - we agree, they are well maintained and for a boutique apartment complex, and the cinema room is often booked, so we encourage all guests to book early. That's a great tip to remind everyone, thank you.

Thank you for recognising the staff try to assist, as they do try to go above and beyond for all our guests. It is unfortunate that we are limited by office hours, and have increase them recently. We do have an after hour service, and we will always try assist outside office hours for many things, this can be accessed by phone, but if you ask either Lorna or Bella or myself we will give you further assistance with this.

See again this year.

I stayed at Aria at Broadbeach for two nights with a few girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. The staff were great and helpful, the room was magnificent and the view.. Wow.
Yes the street noise was a little loud on the tenth floor in the early morning however this is to be expected when you are so close to the hustle and bustle. Great location; a short walk to everything. Excellent facilities. Will stay again. Thank you

I recently stayed in the penthouse with a few friends over a 3 day weekend. It was the best place I have ever stayed in my life and I will be back again in the near future. Price was good and it's a great location. The place was huge and the staff at aria are good. No issues at all.
