This is a beautiful piece of the coastline. The lighthouse has a prominent position in the area. I am not sure if it works anymore as I did not see it on at all during my stay.

Go throughvthe Shelley point gates. Take a stroll from the parking lot. Sit at the bottom of the lighthouse and watch the thousands of commorant and other birds. Look into the wide open ocean! What an experience. Take a picnic basket with.

Beautiful setting and pristine beaches. This lighthouse is in Shelley Point Estate and is easily accessed. The Estate itself is surrounded by three bays. Best time to visit is in the morning on the low tide.

We enjoyed the view here and my son loved the light house and walking around. We went for the weekend to Shelley Point and we could see the working lighthouse from our bedroom. It was very special

If you stay close to Shelley Point and have some time to spare its worth the visit. There are not a lot of parking close by you will need to go to Shelly Point Estate and enter the boom, from there you should be able to park at the hotel and walk from there. It's worth the visit if you are planning on or if you are in the surrounds but I would not go out of my way to see it.

Went there a few times when visiting Britanniabay on our bicycles with a light breakfast packed. Nice to just sit and watch the life around the lighthouse.

Please, readers and visitors: this is a beacon NOT a lighthouse. Nevertheless, an iconic site very popular for wedding and memorable photos.

Walk there late afternoon and gawp at the most spectacular sunset you can ever imagine.

Nothing exciting about this lighthouse. Was an effort to find a way to get to it. No parking area nearby...we parked at a distance and walked along the beach to get to it. Has good views of the beach and surrounding area...

We walked around the bay as far as the lighthouse and sat on the observation platform for a rest. There was a whale in the bay and black cormorants in abundance. there is nothing special here. just a nice place to sit for awhile.

This lead light - not a lighthouse in the true sense - used to be a small wooden structure. Then at about 1998, the developer of Shelley Point build this new "lighthouse" to fit into the popular and sought after development. It is situated on the north-eastern point of the peninsula and guide vessels around it to the St Helena Bay area.
