Nothing exciting about this lighthouse. Was an effort to find a way to get to it. No parking area nearby...we parked at a distance and walked along the beach to get to it. Has good views of the beach and surrounding area...

We walked around the bay as far as the lighthouse and sat on the observation platform for a rest. There was a whale in the bay and black cormorants in abundance. there is nothing special here. just a nice place to sit for awhile.

This lead light - not a lighthouse in the true sense - used to be a small wooden structure. Then at about 1998, the developer of Shelley Point build this new "lighthouse" to fit into the popular and sought after development. It is situated on the north-eastern point of the peninsula and guide vessels around it to the St Helena Bay area.

We really battled to find the way to get to this Lighthouse. Eventually we realized we needed to go through the security gate to the Shelly Point Estate. They were happy to let us in. The lighthouse is not very tall but there are lots of cormorants and seagulls around to watch and photograph. There is an observation area around the bottom of the lighthouse which provides views in 4 directions. Worth visiting if you are in the area

Great place to walk to when visiting. The bay is pretty much flat up until this point when you have a great perspective of where you are.

The water and surrounds are crystal clear due to the rock pulls with loads of shell life nestled in between.

Cool, not amazing but worth the walk of in the area.
