This is our first time here, although we have been to Baslow Hall ,. We have passed this restaurant on many occasions ,we now wish we had called before . We have to say the service was excellent from the moment we entered to the time we left. Ordered drinks what a good selection of gins ,the menu had been tweaked to accomadated vegetarians at the last minute ,nothing was to much trouble. For starters ,French onion soup very thick and wholesome ,chicken liver pâté with a side serving of chucknys and brioche ,for the mains hogit of lamb with salsa Verdi ,on a bed of mash, which I have to say was one of the best pieces of lamb I have tasted in a long time, the other main was Aubergine cannelloni with white beans and a tomatoe salsa which was also cooked to perfection. The total bill was very reasonable considering what we ordered and the drinks. We have to say thank you to ABI and the staff for their very kind attention would we eat here again .?
Why did we have to think about that of course we would . What I can't understand are the poor reviews ,did they eat at the same place ?,it was worth the trip over from Nottingham
