Booked Thatch End for its location to Chatsworth for a visit to the Xmas fair and annual Christmas display. The cottage is charming and has everything you need and the location is ideal down a quiet road but close enough to give you easy access to Baslow.
Chatsworth was as always a delight to visit and throughly festive jolly time had by all - can not recommend the new afternoon tea enough.
This is a real gem of a cottage conveniently located in the village close by to all amenities - especially the Devonshire Arms pub virtually next door! Easy walk into Chatsworth Park, and with many other walking routes available in the local area this was the ideal spot for a family autumn break. The cottage itself is very well equipped and the kitchen and dining area is perfect for cooking and sharing meals. All the bedrooms are generously sized, and decorated and furnished in a nice cottage style. A couple of minor irritations were that the outside bins were almost full when we arrived and were not due to be emptied until we left, and also people need to be aware that mobile phone signal is very weak. But these issues aside we had a fantastic week, and are definitely intending to book again next year!
This is our second time to this beautiful cottage in the Peak District.
It's brilliantly located with plenty of indoor and outdoor entertaining space and even has its own off street parking so no worryingly about getting parked as it's so close to Chatsworth House
Only a couple of little niggles with things not working but all in all another pleasurable stay........
