Lovely, clean, warm and comfortable cottage in great location with lots of great hikes up to the Gritstone Edge all within a short drive away. In particular we liked: Welcome pack, large comfy beds, spare towels, good shower pressure, blackout curtains in the twin bedroom, good supply of utensils and cutlery in kitchen so dishwasher not needed after every meal, pretty garden at the back. The drive is shared with owners but they were unobtrusive.
What a fantastic stay in a really lovely cottage. It's well equipped and really comfortable (especially the beds!) The area surrounding is beautiful and there's plenty of walks on the doorstep.
We were greeted by Angus when we arrived and he showed us around. Our girls had a brilliant time too in the fresh air.
We'll definitely be returning for another visit and highly recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
We had a lovely stay at Tick Tock Cottage this winter. You get the best of both worlds here. You are in the middle of a tranquil and historic area and at the same time, you have all the modern conveniences at this cottage. We enjoyed the high pressure shower and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the open and spacious layout of the ground floor. The decorations and artwork throughout had a warm touch. Highly recommended.
Brilliant location and lovely cottage with all you could need. Lovely comfy beds and really nicely laid out. Couple of pubs within walking distance and N Italian rest. Would definitely return. Angus very hospitable and helpful . Great place

Cracking place to stay! Nice walks from the front door, great food nearby, lovely warm house. Wished we'd stayed longer!
We really loved our stay in Tick Tock. My family (2 Adults 2 Children) felt at home straight away. The Bedrooms are a decent size and downstairs is laid out well and comfy. The kids loved the Sky TV. Baslow is a lovely quiet village with some great views. The cottage is situated well for travel around the Peak district. Angus (Owner) is very relaxed and easy to talk to. He is also a very good painter/Photographer. We were lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time away from the cottage, We looked forward to getting back to the cottage after long days out, sometimes being greeted by Colin the cat :-)
