“An excellant meal at a reasonable price”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Had lunch here with a group of friends. The staff were most obliging and helpful.
Chose meat pie & new potatoes off the 2 for £10.00 menu. The quality of the meal was excellent and really good value for money.
Would not hesitate to visit again.

“Terrible Food”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Looks very good from the outside and has the decor of a traditional pub but this has certainly lost it's way. Badly cooked sunday roast, with no concern for the poor punter having to part with his well earned money. Read the reviews, especially those that ate. It says it all. My companions (I fortunately didn't eat) left most of their lunch, and were offered a free coffee or desert when they gave their honest opinion of it. It obviously happens a lot. If they offered to refund the cost of the meal they would go bust within a week. Avoid.

“good beer”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

good beer. tho i didnt eat here due to the bad reviews but also because it was obvious that their massive menu full of so many different things was just not manageable. id suggest reducing the menu and focusing on good engluish pub food...then again im an accountant:)

“Miserable”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

This has got to be one of the worst eating experiences. The food came out quicker than it did to get served which makes me think microwaved but it all tasted the same of fried fat.

The staff were very unpleasant and unhelpful. There was no atmosphere and we felt uncomfortable. Quickest beer I've ever had and we couldn't wait to get out.

“Badly let down by the food”
Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

Positives first: welcoming atmosphere, family friendly, prompt service and reasonably priced.

The negative? The food is so shockingly bad it is criminal. The kitchen, or rather the microwave, serves up overcooked, insipid dross.

I had a Sunday Roast Beef; there was not one redeeming feature on the plate. You could lay a patio with the mash potato. The puddings do edge towards average. Only a little bit mind.

The sort of place that gives English cuisine a bad reputation.
