This tiny B&B (2 rooms) was perfect for our needs (2 rooms). You approach through a working farm, with corresponding muck and equipment, which might turn off some guests (we're from farm country and didn't mind), but once at the house it is pure bucolic bliss. The views are across pleasant pasture land with pheasants and a few grazing cattle and sheep. Large, clean, well appointed rooms with character and charm, excellent shower, a very comfortable, cozy lounge/breakfast room, fine full English breakfast and friendly, accommodating hosts.

The location is a bit isolated if you want to be in the midst of things, but again, for us it was perfect - pleasant 30 minute walk to the Chatsworth House, through country lanes, across the village, and then most on the Chatsworth Estate itself. And obviously, very, very quiet in the evening, and great for looking out at stars at night.

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast! It’s a real working farm, with a cozy house, and lovely scenic views.

We had a little bit of trouble finding it, but I later realized this was entirely our own fault: there are very good directions on their website.

The staff were warm and welcoming. They were very helpful and accommodating, especially as we got there and had to rush off to a wedding in a hurry. The room was large and very comfortable. We’d let them know of a down allergy before we arrived, and everything in the room was blessedly hypoallergenic. The views from our windows were magnificent!

Our en suite bathroom was huge and very nicely appointed. The towels were even stored on a warming rack! Breakfast the next morning was very good.

Overall, our whole stay was wonderful, and I’d love to stay here again, and for a bit longer than the one night we were able to stay there. The area is scenic and well worth a longer stay and more exploration. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

We stayed at Bubnell Cliff Farm for 3 nights over New Year's Eve (attending a wedding nearby at Hassop Hall). We'd highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting the Peak District - it's great value, we had a lovely, big comfortable room and the breakfasts were delicious (muesli, fruit and yoghurt + cooked breakfast). Sue was really helpful when we asked advice about local walks, even photocopying maps for us! She also brought us extra wood for the fire when we decided to stay in one evening.

Nice b and b accommodation on a working farm. We felt very welcome. Absolutely spotless, you could've eaten your dinner in the bathroom. We had a lovely view from our room. Nice breakfast. Convenient for Bakewell and Chatsworth.

We arrived at Bubnell Cliff Farm in the evening and spent a marvelous three days and nights in the area. Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable and the bath was amazing! We had a marvelous time visiting with Chris and Sue and the other guests we encountered during our stay. We saw a variety of birds coming in to pick up the gleanings of the cattle's' feed and also enjoyed visiting with the new calves that had arrived just before and during our stay. It was a marvelous adventure and I would hope to return. The area is full of things to see and do and the farm is well located but quiet and peaceful.

Room Tip: Our room looked out over the fields and offered much by way of bird and animal life to enjoy.

Nice room, large bathroom, spotless. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good. Comfortable common room. Chris and Sue were very welcoming. Great views from the bedroom windows. Convenient to several historic properties including Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park and Kedleston Hall. Very near Bakewell which has good restaurants and shopping. Our favorite restaurants in the area were Rajas Indian Restaurant and the Peacock Pub in Bakewell.

Room Tip: Both rooms have wonderful views.

We spent three nights here and found it charming.
It was chilly while we were here but there were heaters in the rooms. I did not notice the rooms weren't double glazed and we did not need the heaters overnight as the duvet was really warm and I hate a stuffy room. The bathroom (en suite) was huge, and there was always hot water and plenty of towels, along with toiletries.
There is no TV in the room (fine for us), but there is one in the guests lounge.
Breakfast was good quality (we had the farmhouse breakfast each day). There was fruit, yoghurts, orange juice and cereals to start, the owner brought our cooked breakfasts through once we had finished with the cereals. We had a huge pot of coffee each morning (enough for 2 big cups each) and finished with toast and marmalade. This was more than enough for us.
On our return each day we got a little thermos of cold milk for the tea/coffee; you only have to ask for it.
The location is about half a mile up Wheatlands Lane, the farm is signposted from the road. The location is a little bit of a trek if you are walking to the pubs in the village for food at night (there aren't many taxis in the area). However, if you are fairly fit it is fine. This is possibly the only negative point, but in return for being a little out of the village, you are rewarded by wonderful views.
We found the owners friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will likely return here.
