“evening meal 26th October”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

Having never visited this restaurant before I was a little nervous after reading recent recent. Although the experience was ok I feel it could have been better. We were seated immediately on arrival and given time to review the menu. The drinks menu is very limited and in my opinion the wibe is over priced. Starters were a bit hit and miss with the anti pasto and baked goats cheese an excellent choice. The soup ( flavour a mystery ) disappointing and the pate a pitifully small portion in comparison to the other starters. Anyway onto the mains. Again a mixed bag. By far the star of the show was the fillet medallions. The pizza was also good. The pasta dishes however were again very average. The canelloni could easily have been a tesco ready meal and the pasta with ( two ) meatballs had a hint of heinz tomato soup about it. Onto the puddings which were all £5.95, seriously for a scoop of sorbet ! Meal for 4 with 2 puddings, one bottle of wine and a glass of coke £120. It was ok but I've had better.

“Italian with style”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

This is probably the best Italian restaurant in the Sheffield area, the owner was absent on this occasion, but the staff were as efficient as always, and the meal was quickly served, and was as good as ever, the prices were a little higher than last time, but still good value.

“Can't understand the bad reviews”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

Booked here with a little trepidation for a Saturday evening meal with my wife because of a few adverse reviews.Don't be put off by them. It is a long time since we had a meal there because we no longer live close by but we were glad we had booked there. We arrived early - no problem-greeted by a very friendly host who showed us to our table.Asked if we wanted a drink almost immediately and the menus arrived quickly. We opted for a sharing starter of Italian hors d'oevres which was ample for 2 and very tasty followed by lamb italian style which was lovely and adequate portions- fresh vegetables and tasty potatoes accompanied it. The wine was a fairly ordinary Pinot Grigio at what I think was priced too expensively for what it was. We had no room for desert but opted for a limoncello and expressos instead. All in all a very nice meal served by pleasant and friendly staff who were attentive but left us to enjoy our meal without rush.Would go again but we have had just as good service and food elsewhere for a lesser price. If you stick with pizza/pasta prices are ok but other dishes are veering towards expensive.

“Really good meal”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

We ate midweek and had not booked. The staff were welcoming, the food was very good and the service was efficient and friendly without being overbearing. We had a lovely evening and would go back there again if we were in the area.
