A visit to the Centre is a must if you are in the area. The views of Mount Cook are fantastic and the day we were there it was very clear. The centre is full of interest and in particular the museum that incorporates the Edmund Hillary story, we spent a long time in there. The restaurant was busy so we were unable to get a table but the menu looked very good. Plenty to do and see here and a good place to sit with a coffee, or something stronger, whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery.

$25 per person per night for a powered campervan site is quite expensive in my opinion. The ground is not even level. Toilet and shower facilities were pretty average, I've seen many that were better, but also some that had been worse. Very low water pressure. The location is of course really awesome (and by far the closest campsite with powered sites) and the staff was friendly as well, but I'm not sure if this is enough to make up for the price...

Stayed here as we thought it was a key location to stay for the night before our walk the next morning on the hooker valley track. Cabin nice and warm. Bed very comfortable. Cooking and dining facilities are great. Toilets clean and well maintained. Maybe next time we should book the cabins with ensuite, as it could be a bit challenging especially during winter nights. Views from the cabin are stunning.

We spent one night in a camper van at this beautifully situated camp. There are great views from the camp and it is a short drive up to aoraki national park.

The lounge has a log fire and the kitchen is well equiped. Woke up to find a pheasant stroling around the camp.

After leaving, wished we had stayed longer!
