“Awesome stay.”

We were in a camper van. Very spacious & nice outdoor feeling. Great view especially the night sky. The staff were very welcoming. We took a heli ride up to the mountains. Fantastic experience.

I & My Family 5 people stay here for one night on 29th Jan. 2012. (Self Contained Cabin)
We like the beautiful scenery of Mount Cook. The Room also very clean & tidy.
We all quite happy to stay in this motel but one thing that we are unhappy is the bed unable
to sleep 4 adult & 1 children, although we paid for 5 people & state in booking form that 2 double & 1 single but instead we only give 1 double, 1 single & 1 small sofa (only can sleep one chiildren!). I book again in this coming 26th May, hope able improve this situation.

Thank you very much for your excellent review. Great to hear you are back in May! The sofa is actually a pull out bed - I am sorry this was not explained to you. When you return you will see there is lots of space for 2 children on the double fold out sofa!

Kind Regards,

Kate Ivey and the Team at Glentanner Park Centre

Stayed in a cabin for a couple of nights to go up and see Mt Cook - very good experience. The cabins are spacious with 1 double and 1 twin bed, very nice bathroom (good shower) and kitchen. All very clean. Only downside is that you hear every snore (literally...) of your neighbors. Views up the valley are excellent and stroll down to the lake as well - birds and rabbits aplenty. Reception & cafe were friendly and efficient. Would stay again.

Friendly staff, open campervan spaces and easy to book online. Such a lovely view from here I was sad we came in at night time and left in the morning. Would have loved to get some nice pictures.

We stayed in one of the cabins for one night before driving up to the Hermitage Hotel for a Glacier Explorer boat trip in the morning. There was a little kitchen, a bathroom with an unexpectedly good shower, and the main room had a king-sized and a single bed, sofa, dining table and 4 chairs and a TV. Very comfortable. We could hear the people next door, but not enough to disturb our sleep. The views in all directions were just mind-bending, and we spent a lot of time just looking out. Actually I think we had a better view of Mount Cook than the Hermitage Hotel did, although the hotel was much closer.
The Glentanner cafe was good: friendly, casual, happy to let me design my own pizza, and let us take the rest of our wine bottle back to the cabin. The trip centre based at reception was excellent - full of tips and advice, and able to answer most of our questions. There was also a small shop selling souvenirs and some clothing. It all felt very family-run and friendly.
We had a lovely walk down to the lake in the evening, and saw (and heard) some rare birds as well as rabbits, and we thought we found a possum hole. It's a wild place - 20 minutes to the next "village", but that was fine for us.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner cabin then you only get neighbour noise from one side.

A lovely open site with lots of bushes/trees around, rabbits also! Facilities were fine - good cafe at the information centre, but it closes at 7pm. Lots to recommend about it - great views and a good walk down to the lake.
