Lovely welcoming hotel with great rooms and food. The owners were waiting to greet our group and we all had rooms on same corridor. The best bit is the seating area around the open fire, great place for our tour group to have a chat. only improvement that could be made would be the bathroom, the cleanliness was abit lacking.

Right from making an email booking Ann was on the case and when we arrived she and Mark were the hosts with the mostest! A big pool(heated) and three smaller hot pools are a great asset to the place.
Great meals, dinner and breakfast were appreciated. The buildings could do with some updating of the interior decor, however the owners work really hard to apease all guests, a sense of humor is a must when interacting with them.
All in all a great summer stay in this small South Island town.

Well I have never met such a rude and obnoxious host as Mark, certainly must suffer from short man syndrome, the service was appalling, the food was a throw back from the 1950s,one of the staff did mention that left-over food from buffets was reconstituted which summed it up nicely, would love to see a health inspector check the place out.The way we were treated was disgusting, the room we stayed in had no sky tv,obviously cutting back on spending, and the room was filthy, dirty sheets, dust everywhere,a cigarette but in the bathroom and the list goes on,anyway if you feel up for a faulty towers treatment, then this is the place to stay, not sure where Manwell was, must of been washing the dishes lol :(

Reasonably priced, good food, we had the buffet. Our room was clean and large, with an average bed, would be great for a family though as there were two twin beds as well as the queen. Very lovely hosts, ensured our comfort. Pool great, clean and warm. Would definitely recommend.

We were part of a motorcycle tour group and arrived on a cold day to be greeted with a warm welcome. We were delighted to find an open fire in the lounge with plenty of comfortable seating. Our evening meal was outstanding and great value and the service from all the staff was friendly and efficient. A good sleep and a hearty breakfast with plenty of choices set us right for our next days riding. We will certainly return. Thanks to all involved in our pleasurable stay.

welcoming hosts always make a good impression when signing in! Good room. Although we tagged onto a coach party for dinner, the food was excellent, and again the hosts ensured we had a great time, adding the personal touch which so many places seem to miss these days. we got a deal for B&B and EM which worked out good value.

We had a great stay! Ann and Mark were wonderful.

The room was immaculate, warm and comfortable. The food was first rate! 5 star!

We will definitely go back and will recommend the Resort to anyone who is looking for a place to stay. The Mt Hutt pick up bus was so convenient - it came right to the front door of the resort, and dropped us off there too.

Room Tip: We stayed 4 in one room and then our eldest was in a room with space for 3. All were great.
