Description: We offer good, honest, hearty fare. We are not fine dining, but believe in giving value for money. Our Blue Cod is becoming famous by all our guests who pass this secret on to others. The beers are all brewed on site and have had wonderful reviews from peers and those who like craft beer. Tasting paddles are available so you don't have to commit to just one beer. Our main ethos is to offer excellent, friendly service and give everyone a brilliant experience as they dine, inside or outside in our beautiful rural setting.

“Perfect lunch stop between Christchurch and Mount Cook.”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

A charming micro brewery café with surprisingly good food and very friendly service. Even if you're not a beer fan (they do make ginger beer as well) it is well worth a stop, if for no other reason to admire the beautiful stags right next to the terrace.

“Excellent food but disappointing service”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Excellent food and good value, but service was very disappointing - a wait of 55 minutes for the food to arrive, as we were traveling some distance and had dropped in for a short break it would have helped if we had been told when ordering the food that there would be a long wait.

“GREAT PLACE, GREAT CAFE ,GREAT MENU”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Four if us staying in Geraldine Sept 2013 went to the Brewery for lunch.
Relatively close to Geraldine ( probably about 8 km?) the drive up the valley is very scenic.
The cafe at the brewery is spacious and light, with nice rural views. We chose different meals from a very good menu and each of us found the food very well presented, and very tasteful. The service by a friendly staff was first class, and they came and checked twice (once I believe may have been the owner) that all was in order and that we were satisfied (which we were).
They brewery offers a selection of 6 taster beers served in small tasting glasses at a very reasonable cost. While I have a preference for lager I thought "why not?" and welcomed the experience and tried them. They were accompanied by an information sheet expanding each beer. A very varied and tasty selection with accurate. descriptions. Overall a totally enjoyable experience in a friendly atmosphere. We will be back when next in Geraldine.
