Geraldine Cinema is a real treasure. It's not flash , it's pretty basic but it has a real charm. There are sofas to sit on, on cold nights they offer blankets . It's worth a visit!!

Locals think it's quirky but the tatty interior just didn't do it for me I'm afraid.I am not a big fan of worn out sofas.I do appreciate that some folk like that though.Bit like something from the Good Old Days. Not Shabby chic..just shabby .

This is my local cinema, and a town the size of Geraldine is lucky to have one, especially one which could only be desribed as quirky. The couches are old, comfortable and come with sheepskin covers and knee rugs in the winter and there are plenty of regular seats too. There's coffee and snacks available at the kiosk. They show both mainstream and arty films, the Opera Season as an example, but the best was the Lord Of The Rings opening nights..a lot of the locations were just up the road, and the locals were extras.

They have sofas that you can sit on in the back row. The cinema is very old with all the beautiful old ceilings that the old theatres used to have. A trip back in time.

It's quaint, but it has all the latest movies. It's like sitting in your own lounge. It's such an amazing and unique experience. They also feature live music and other such arts as part of their regular schedule.
