“Alpaca farm visit and shop”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

I went the the open day at Gem Alpacas with my 4 year old son. he had a great time leading an alpaca around an obstacle course, and being able to get up close with the farm animals. The farm tours are family-friendly and the hosts, Jill and Trevor are very friendly and knowledgeable, they know their animals really well - they are all named and all have distinct personalities. I LOVE my alpaca wool socks from the shop - perfect for winter.

“Alpaca Farm Tour”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

The Gem Alpacas Farm Tour is a wonderful experience. By walking among the alpacas and hand feeding them I was able to see what it is that attracts people to them. The alpacas are friendly and curious with the cria (babies) being especially so; and with them producing a lovely soft handling fleece that can be used in a variety of ways they are more than just pets.
I recommend the Gem Alpacas Farm Tour to everyone whether you are familiar with alpacas or not. You won't regret it.

“Up Close and Personal”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

The Gem Alpaca farm visit was a highlight for us. To get up close and personal with the beautiful Alpaca truly was a memorable time. They are beautiful animals. The folk at Gem Alpaca made us feel at home and were happy for us to stay for quite a while, just being with the animals.
